The place I sent mine could fix them so PM me if interested. I regularly get major $ discount emails. It does take about 3 months to get the final product though.

We salvaged mostly prints of family stuff. We are going to let the slides go.

Slides can be converted more easily than prints. Negatives (which I recently pitched are the best).

Oops I think really good white wines are ^^^ and your region actually produces quite a few. Cheep white wine (downstate) is like drinking cough medicine and hoping for a buzz:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ain't that the truth.

Nothing like getting a pink slip to offend most of your co-workers. How can you diplomatically explain that their termination is also written on an erasable whiteboard:confused: One even thinks that even with more years than me she is invincible:td::td::td: So sad when life deals a blow and you don't even know when to duct.

I used to be the vice-president of a 500 member travel club so in addition to planing extensive trips in Europe I used to do (for the old people) I used to plan day trips. The Culinary Institute in NY was one of the wonderful trips I planned. The white wine was all regional (other side of the Hudson). It was quite a popular trip!

hoping? ;)

Strange weather in E Central TX. Coming back, there was a huge thunderhead building, anvil head topping well in the 30's or 40's, a good way SE of Austin. But by the time I got back, and looked for it on the radar, it was gone; just a little nimbus, and nothing on the radar. With the air's moisture content and its apparent vertical lift, somebody should have gotten something out of it. Very weird. Hmm. Ever notice that weird is an exception to the "i before e except..." rule? Also wierd.

And for all those equipped and willing to help do so, Keep Austin [that way] and good luck in the 5K.

So after a couple of beers and seemingly countless glasses of wine I am feeling a tad defeated on the work front. It is so contrary to my work ethic to roll-over-and-play-dead! The "non-George C" stand-in that had to deliver my demise is a total mess which I can kind of understand since I interviewed and recommended we hire her.

Perhaps if I cry for 48 hrs straight I will feel better:(

Am in my room at the Hyatt (last qualifying AA stay!)^ When I checked in, I had to ask the front desk person to fix a problem on the bill from my last stay! She knows that I am a regular customer ;) & while I elected points for the diamond amenity -- she offered me the actual amenity, as well. This was for all the past issues I've had with non-postings of GP pts/stays & billing errors -- twice!

So, I chose the truffles & the cab sav!^ Had a nice meal in teh restaurant (taking advantage of $25 credit w/COSTCO promo), so am back in the room & sampled the cab & a truffle. yummeh!^

Well, as you know -- it is a grieving process -- so let yourself cry or do whatever you need to do for yourself.:( You should also treat yourself to something special -- maybe a massage!;)
