Am I totally going nuts?!?

* currently going for $729 + tax...

Aspen was the most expensive place I've ever tried to have lunch! So for $729 do you get a plunge pool and a butler:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hope you've booked that already as all of the standard rooms there have sold out for July 3rd. Available July 2nd & 4th, however.

I have yet to patronize, or even see, one of these places, oddly! Didn't they say they were opening one in LGA? I'll probably end up getting it there before anywhere else :p

There is one at DCA.

We went to the pool. I figure I did enough laps to compensate.

I would keep searching, though I have read that LO C isn't bad.

Got an invitation for a fee-waived Pres Plus card today. Hmm...

Fun conversation for me tonight with the 80+ people I call parents.
Conversation:
I'll be moving in the not to distant future
Reply:
That's nice.
Conversation:
I'm concerned about you two and how you will manage if I'm not in the area
Reply:
Oh we are fine.
Not good when the siblings live fairly far-away.
sigh...

Lucky you. I have the Bold on AT&T and it's great in every way except battery life.

Thanks for the heads up. Alas. July 2nd will work fine, I guess - the 3rd would have been better, and for all sorts of (mostly psychological) reasons I would have liked to do it AFTER the hiking and camping portion of the weekend, but I guess at this last minute, can't complain too much - any night is better than no night.

And what I DIDN'T know until now is that you had to guarantee FWN's with a credit card, and if for some reason we don't show up, we're getting charged a "7 night penalty"...:confused:

Ummm, what kind of BlackBerry did YOU have?!? That's my main complaint about mine - the battery life is pretty awful, ESPECIALLY if you're using Google Maps, browsing the web, or using the Bluetooth headset.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I used my HH free night on a $350 hotel night. Not the best but by no means a bad deal.

Android battery life can be rough, especially depending on what's running in the background on the device. Although, 6 hours of standby is awful. It should be doing much more than that if you're not using it. Either you had a device with a defective battery, or Sprint or HTC has a lot of background crap running on the device.

FWIW, iPhone battery life isn't all that wonderful either. BlackBerries tend to be great on the battery, but they also do a whole lot less.

I took it back to the Sprint store yesterday and they went through the phone to make sure nothing was draining the battery. They also did a test on the battery and told me everything was fine and that the phone is powerful and I shouldnt expect the battery to last all day. After much thought I decided to return it since I cant always be right next to a charger. I really liked the phone and all the features but the short battery life was a deal breaker.

Good afternoon Box. Just got home from a rather grueling and emotional day. I think it played out fairly well, and my brother and I had a very good time going through a fraction of the many pictures that were set aside for us. All told, there were probably (including slides and photos from the 1930's and 1940's) 1 million + photos, so there was no way we could get through them all.

msv, sorry to hear about your day. :(

G'day, Box.

I'm status quo until Sep 24th and do have a very long severance period with full pay and benefits so I'm looking at a lot of travel coming up really soon:D Then I will decide what I want to be when I grow up:rolleyes:

That's the only thing I really dislike about my Android. I usually have to keep mine plugged in when I'm at my desk because it drains so quickly, especially if I go into an area of the building with no signal. I tried running bare bones and shutting off the gps, but so many apps are based on that it was defeating the point of having a smart phone. Blackberry goes days without needing a charge.

Included in the stuff I took from dad's place was half of his good wine stash. I have 27 bottles of various wines grown by Stanford alumni (dad went to Stanford). I have a good project for the weekend. :D
