Staying at the Seelbach here in downtown Louisville, KY. Nice property with surprising big hallways for an older hotel. The Executive lounge is nice. The one plus is the Coke cooler with bottles of water and soda that you have 24 hour access to the whole time you are here!!

Current plan (pending UA e-fares) has me in the BNA-ish area this weekend.
We will have to try to plan a get together at some point perhaps! |

You'll appreciate my supper conversation this evening with someone who works for the American subsidiary of a German company.
We were :rolleyes:ing about when they moved DST a couple years ago and how just about every conference call for the two or three week period between the US and Germany turned into a giant disaster and ended with angry emails from Germans complaining that Americans needed to learn how to be punctual and reliable. Just a side story, my firstname.lastame is the same as many folks in the company. Teh company gave te senior person [email protected]. The next one got [email protected]. I, in orderly German fashion, got [email protected]. I asked why they couldn't give my my middle initial as the hyphenated letter. I was told by the head of US IT that they order names with A-B-C, etc. I spend at least 20-30 minutes a week answering the question... Crafty Germans. |

As long as the Coke cooler doesn't have any of that evil "P" word, life is OK ;)

Strangly I do have a 17' canoe but no way to transport it.
... Night Box. I can haz an SUV with a roof rack should we decide to use said canoe. Alternatively, we can rent one from one of those places on the canal (e.g., I've been to the one near the Princeton Junction station) if we end up getting together for this someday. G'night (or g'morning by the time you see this)! |
