To the best of my knowledge, everyone defaults to points on all stays unless miles are specifically requested at the hotel (or by calling GP Support). One's still eligible for the diamond amenity (points or food/beverage) but has to call in.

I am so tired - presentation to 200+ in a couple hours, then office hours, grading, mow lawn, dinner with friends of SO, laundry, and then I have to get up at 0-dark-30 again tomorrow for my flights.
