I haven't actually seen a set of the new UA fare rules, but have been playing around with bookings. Have UA gone AA and made it so if you single-connect in a hub on your outbound, you have to connect back through that hub on your return?

For instance, AA will often have routing rules like:

DEN-DFW-ORD-CVG
DEN-STL-ORD-CVG

If you route via DFW and ORD on your outbound, you cannot route via STL on your return (unless you want to kick the fare up by some insane amount). Same thing seems to be happening on my UA searches.

My flight on Friday is now F0. :( At least I have an exit row...

RCC agent Fail. Belynch, win.

Suppose I shouldn't be amazed GA was happy to accommodate my request when all I heard at the dirty carpet club was NO.

I ended the :rolleyes:fest by asking the agent if she felt good about displaying an inability to do her job. I'm usually not nasty to folks in service positions but this woman was on a big fat power trip.

I recently got into battles with RCC dragons for refusing to provide benefits to which I was entitled as a P Club and *G international F customer. As I argued with one set, I witness the agent next to them repeatedly deny customers wireless cards who were entitled to them. Huge .

Exactly.

I'd earn stay credits and points in my master bedroom if I could just figure out a way to do it.

I believe you can earn status on @OchoSquares.

INP. Haven't you heard? UA can do no wrong. Oh, wait, you're not a 1K so you don't matter. They can do whatever they want and you are just supposed to bend over and take it. At least CO is consistent in their idiocy about rules.

The agent in JFK gave me drink chits (I thought those were only at the gateway) and the agent at the Terminal F RCC in SFO refused, saying I had to go to the international RCC for them. On my return the international RCC gave me a T*Mo card. All entries were on my CO Plat card as a *G on international. They are just as confused as the CO agents.

It'd be some much easier if we could just get free booze at the RCC. Then the dragons wouldn't have to know what to say no to.

For the NY'ers looking at the PHL MR. There is a better one that avoids the cost of getting to PHL. I just booked LGA-IAH-SJC-IAH-LGA same day turn on 10/2 for $235 a/i. There are some more same day turns in November but they are on UA and route through DEN which means less miles.

I'm assuming you meant $235?

ACT water tastes like drinking out of a dirty aquarium, so I went and bought a water filter, I have had Brita and DuPont before, both worked well. Target had one called Zero Water on sale today...it is supposed to be so great one filter makes the water have zero on their TDS meter...well prior to filtering it was a whopping 189 (no wonder the water tasted so bad), after filtering it was 43 steady...I think this is a filtering FAIL.

As long as the water's cold, the Brita tends to work well. I love the two I have (one at home, one in the office fridge).

I went in a few weeks ago as a *G with a LH F boarding pass. Had a friend flying B6 so we couldnt use the sen lounge because he wasn't on my flight.
Went to RCC. They refused to provide drink chits because I wasn't flying UA. They also refused to provide an internet card. So, I broke out my P Club card and told them to use that for access and give me a T Mobile card. They again refused because I wasn't flying UA. I asked to see the *A lounge access handbook because I wanted to show them where they were wrong. They claimed they didn't have any, which is totally false because UA keeps those behind the desks at every RCC. While this was going on, the agent next to them denied two RCC members T Mo cards because they weren't flying UA international C or F. I wanted to stand there just to see how many other incorrect rules they would make up. I was so angry at that point that I just gave up and did not escalate because I wanted to hang out with my frined before heading back to the SEN lounge (this was at IAD).

Now, I carry a pdf of the *A lounge access rules on my BB. I thought they stopped that BS at IAD after LuckyCoins made that big fuss. I never had a problem there before.

Congratulations on that. And you did it largely the "real" way, BIS, and not the credit card miles way?
