Wow, Marriott's website is issuing 403 errors for all pages.

Mackieman May 28, 2010 6:21 am

Oh good lord CO. I've paid the $75 to redeposit, and another $75 for close in reward booking, now they want another $25 because I had to call in to ticket the reservation even though I booked it online.:mad::rolleyes:

Thankfully the agent recognizes that this is a raw deal and has placed me on hold to attempt to remove the extra charge. ^

Fee waived. Reservation ticketed.

An actual visit to the Statue of Liberty is not worth the time anymore, sadly. Take the Staten Island Ferry and get the photo as you go by it. I'm assuming Ellis Island is worth it.

Correct on both accounts.

Switching from one Series 0 to another Series 0 should not have required a redeposit and reissue. It should have included the routing change charge because you are within 21 days but they should have been able to use the originally issued reward to effect that new itinerary. Methinks you may have overpaid on this one.

Glad to hear you made it home ^

Even when changing the O/D pair? Instead of LGA I'm now doing EWR. I read the rules and thought that required redeposit? If not, I will  at myself. But I'll still be thankful I don't need to rent a car and fight traffic and can make the dinner on Friday. Those things make it worth the investment, at least for me.

Any book suggestions? I'd prefer paperback and non-fiction if possible.
