I'm still watching the Mets. Due to a rain delay the game started a bit late. So far the Mets haven't let the hated Phils score a single solitary run in this series, and right now it's the 8th inning in the 3rd game. :-:

So it looks like I'm about to cancel my reward reservation to the Soccer DO and rebook it. Right now, I'm doing AUS - IAH - CLT - LGA, and then LGA - BOS - CLT, a couple days in CLT for work, and then CLT - ORD - AUS.
For the $75 redeposit and the $75 close in booking fee, I can get AUS - EWR at a MUCH better time and make it to the dinner Friday evening, and then do EWR - CLT on Sunday at a MUCH better time so as to allow for seeing other stuff in New York (like the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island) before heading down to CLT. And, if I do that, I don't have to rent a car which was going to cost me $120 plus gas and tolls. Seems like a no brainer. Except that the CO Reward Reservations desk closed two hours ago. :rolleyes: |
