Just hooked up my wireless network router for the first time in forever. I did recall all the security settings but this old 802.11g router required that I manually spoof the MAC address

Ambush movie run complete. Since it was getting even more unbearably warm, we decided to go see Shrek. Left 8 minutes before movie start. She got tix; I parked. Walked in and got seats during second preview. This could never be done in LA. ^

So are you planning to stay near the airport there on Sat. night -- or in the Princeton area?

Magnets are great for small pain relief.
In other news, my fiancee has been complaining that she is lonely with me working at night. I plan on doing something nice for a holiday off day together by getting up early tomorrow and making breakfast fajitas and 'ritas. I will probably make myself Cafe du Monde coffee tomorrow too. |

Have you gotten any bodywork/deep tissue massage done? I had regular (as in weekly or bi-weekly) bodywork for a while back in 2005/2006, when I had really chronic back pain. I also take arnica -- whenever I have aches/pains, anywhere (they are the l'il white balls in the blue tubes by Boiron -- available at Whole Fds, health food stores, etc). Also, I have used the arnica gel or creme on the area & sometimes tiger balm & the like.
When the back is particularly bad, I've had accupuncture done specifically in the problem areas of the back (with the electrical stimulation). I assume that you've been to a back specialist at some point, as I'm imagining that you have disc issues. It may be a good idea to have it checked out -- if you haven't been seen recently. You wouldn't want to be aggravating an already-complicated situation! GL!^ |
Commencing ambush wine tasting. Be back later...

I had deep tissue twice last week. I'll look at arnica! I've been using biofreeze; taking flexerill, taking ambien to sleep and in a complete box way, been drinking more than normal. I've also done yoga, every back exercise I know, etc. The electrical stimulation messes me up. I can't do it. I did it fine when I was younger; but the last few years, it makes me a mess. I have a back specialist, but haven't been to see him. Will see him Tues, I guess, though I don't want to!
For your baths, you should put in at least a cup of baking soda & a cup of either sea salt or epsom salts -- there are salts that have eucalyptus & other things for muscle pain that work, too. If you can get ahold of some arnica oil -- put a little in the bath, as well. (I've had my step-mom pick this up for me in Mexico). These things help to draw out the inflammation from the body & detoxify. Hoping that your visit to the specialist doesn't uncover a really serious development!:( |

+1 on the electrical stimulation. I have a small TENS unit(Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and I find it helps a lot when I'm having back issues.
