No doubt. We've got black arm-bands, rampant speculation, the destruction of the CO workforce, the dessimation of Cleveland, AND a reference to the Pennysaver!

Maybe UA/US/CO do this every few years just to see the FlyerTalk community whip themselves into an unmanageable frenzy? :p

Cancel the C5 sighting. C-17. On consultation with the other half, who watched it coming, it had winglets. Reduce estimated altitude a bit accordingly.

Added to the earlier report of chinooks in the air NW of AUS, probably are some war games going on up at the Fort.

Anyone have a recommendation for an online brokerage that I can move my Roth to? My work 401K is with Merrill, so I'm tempted to park it there just for convenience.

Avoid Schwab. I've had a ton of issues with them.

Guessing it was doing some runs to/from Lackland/Kelly AFB.

Speaking of which, one of the 787s is supposed to be doing a run from Eglin to Lackland sometime soon.

ZA003 flew to Lackland 2 days ago. It looks like it is scheduled for a flight in that area later today. Obviously, the 773 in the flight plan is a mistake.

Don't talk to Chuck. Noted. ^

There's a Merrill advisor right around the corner. Since I'm flying Wednesday, he might be on the Tuesday to-do list.

Sounds like I may be driving to SAT at some point today.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I am just wondering where my common C130's out of Dyess are now...

Is it still referred to locally by both names? I thought the Kelly name was killed off and the base itself was rolled into Lackland. Lackland was separate when I was there because of the training component...it was an Air Force base with no airfield.

I had no idea there was airlift at Dyess. Thought it was just the B-1's housed there.

I've heard the airfield referred to as Kelly by a number of Air Force folks, including my cousin who did some C-17 training there.

The base is just Lackland though.

When I lost it in the haze, it was turning in climb on a heading of maybe 300. Could have been doing that to ultimately join into San Anton from the north or west, but that heading was why I was guessing it was part of Army activities.

Like what? They've been great for me so far.

I moved my office from the park outside the Apple store up to the High Line. And then my laptop overheated and shut down. No more work for the evening, apparently. :D
