Good morning, Box. Woke up to gunshots off in the distance this morning. I wonder what's in season. Just took a chilly walk in the 30's. I liked yesterday 60's better.

Nice to live in the country where the target normally has 4 legs.
Should be perfect maple syrup season with warm days and chilly nights.

It's always the Sunday following the NYC parade since they use the same bands.

Good Evening from the Conrad Tokyo. I think I've gotten food poisoning. I don't think it was the food on the plane, because it hit me about half way through the flight so it must have been something I ate the day before, probably at the United Center.

Hi Box. Checking in from the Emory University Hospital ER. My partner seems to have a kidney stone. On top of that, we had a flat tire on the freeway a few hours ago. Hell of a way to spend a Saturday night.

Ugghhh...so sorry to hear, hope he's better soon.

The one next to your departure gate :D

I was going to say that. Well better late than never on this discussion, as others have said Mandalay Bay is likely the closests of the famous strip hotels. South Point may be quicker from/to the airport than anything on the strip but I know nothing about the place except driving by it to see what was down there.

I am going to write my congressman about taking over Vancouver, Victoria and the rest of the BC coast so we can connect Alaska to the lower 48. :p

Is this before or after they give all the land back to the first nations so we'd get none of it?

I guess I could tolerate ATL-SEA, considering that Vancouver is just a short drive away.

The boarder crossing can make it not so short if you catch it a the wronge time.

Desk lice: n, a subset of gate lice, this type parks themselves at the gate desk 30 minutes before people will show up to the desk.

:rollpuck:, any idea what routes DL's non-ER Domestic 763s are plying these days? Still need to snag one of those to complete my sampling of the 767 series.

The only place that I see them on the schedule nowadays is on some of the ATL transcons. Since the NW merger they have been removed from service to Florida, CVG, and NYC.

However, they are really crappy and I assiduously book away from them. I do not recall what they are like in coach not having ventured there for many years (actually it was seven years ago since I do remember experiences such as that).

I always try to book away from the ERs since six across seating in a 767 shows a lack of awareness of passenger comfort. The DL flyers call them the "slave ships."

IMO that only the shortest possible trip is worth it in order to get the type and that might now need to be one of the transcons. You'd probably be as well off forgetting about it completely if that is the case, as I believe that it is. I also know that this is an option that you will not consider. :)

Mr desk lice has been standing at the empty podium for 10 minutes now. Only 22 more to go!!!!

This chair in the ER is getting very, very hard. Someone call TWA Fan's chiro for me.

As someone who flies CO, you should be used to uncomfortable seating.

Hope the s/o feels better.

It might be ducks or rabbits, but opinions differ.

Ouch. Hope he's feeling better soon. And the flat tire is really just adding insult to injury. :td:

I can tolerate it for an ATL-Florida run. It's worth it to get a new type. It would be perfect if I could mix that with an MD-90.

I think you need SLC for the MD90. They had 1x daily (the early flight) ex-DCA but I'm not sure if that is still on the schedule or not. Otherwise they seem to keep the 90s out west.

SATA International operates them on BOS-PDL. Their Business Class is also priced fairly reasonably (at least it was when I checked about 14 months ago). If you do the route before November (when they are taking on Q400s), you can be almost guaranteed a ride on a BAe ATP if you take an intra-island flight within the Azores.

We were talking about that flight last time we were ridiculously drunk in the same place. We should book it. Nothing quite like a line on the map that stops before it actually gets "there" over the ocean. :D

Correct. NC/NF are upgrade classes, XC/XF are award classes.

Pro tip: NY is the bucket of saver awards reserved for 1Ks.

Thanks. My flight is still NC1. Time to find an 04/10 CR1 in CC....
