Canuck is now delayed on US. The 's just keep on coming.

:rolleyes:v is hypothesizing that she's delayed due to too much sun at EWR. :-:

I wouldn't expect too many complaints about the Privatair flights from EWR, ORD, and IAH -- which are aimed at an analogous market.

People are weird. Won't fly a 73G across the ocean but they'd happily jump on a BBJ. Same thing different name. Open Skies airlines hasn't been doing too well though with the all premium service (unless that's changed recently and hasn't Privatair had some issues with low loads? Many of these travelers have egos and bigger is better in their mind. A 744 is better than a 318 to satisfy that need.

I still think Open Skies is not doing well purely because most US PAX have no clue that ORY even exists and, if they do (or know to search for PAR instead of CDG) they realize ORY does not represent enough value added benefits to pick Open Skies over a legacy carrier.

The Privatair-operated flights will do okay as they are pretty much personnel shuttles for major corporations.

Ask at the RCC or at the gate for a "better seat." Prior that you have no chance.

No. But the BPs still print it that way because their systems didn't update so good. I've got four BPs here that all say STE+ and I got the upgrades anyways.

As I recall, one needed to register, be at least 1P at the time of registration, and maintain 1P status thereafter. If you dropped to 2P or below at any point you were out of luck, and you couldn't re-register.

You are secretly Canadian?

Happy birthday to windwalker, and congratulations to cheepneezy y perro.

Happy belated Birthday ww!

Hello, Box.

Thanks for the birthday wishes all

Bit slow going today, seems there were large quantities of Woodford that disappeared last night. I think I had a good time.
Daughter and future SIL drove up to surprise me-we got wedding details nailed down.
February was Birthday Month here in RDU land; GFWW on the 7th, her oldest(18) on the 14th, her youngest(11)sleepover 19th, actual is 22nd.

GFWW is taking me to the Duke-Va Tech game later today, should be a blast. Time now for a nap

Seems like a reasonable choice, apart from taking forever to get there from the East Coast.

She found a resort not far from KOA that looks gorgeous. We are turning to my mother for further research. She will be here for her maiden visit in a few hours. We want to combine the KOA experience with a day in HNL to do Pearl/USS Arizona etc.

I'm thinking that with the kind of options we have, we shouldn't have too much trouble getting reward seats. Into and out of EWR or PHL and the options of HNL and KOA on the return.

KOA has some amazing resorts and a lot of opportunity to explore. Depending on your trip length, its not pushing it to add another island as well. Mrs. MBM3 and I love KOA and LIH because of their unique beauty and, well, they do not seem to be one strip mall like OGG and HNL.

For history and politics junkies like us, Pearl Harbor is a sobering yet amazing experience. I had the extra benefit of knowing my grandparents were stationed there (after 07 Dec), got married there, and my grandfather's unit guarded the mouth of the harbor.

I just stayed at the Fairmont Orchid near KOA last week and highly recommend it, and the Big Island in general. Where else can you find black and green sand beaches, an active volcano, the southernmost point in the United States, and one of the world's best locations for astronomy?

Plus, KOA is one of the most unique airports that I have visited. Beyond the feeling of landing on a black moon with a VERY long runway (11,000 FT), the tikki huts and widebodies using airstairs are pretty cool.

I'd be surprised if anyone traded HH for a couple PClub passes. If anthing maybe a thousand or so points transfered from AA or those marketing websites (e-rewards, etc)

I thought OpenSkies moved to CDG when BA bought them out.

Russia vs. the Czech Republic on NBC now - eastern and central time zones only.

Indeed a very cool experience to fly into - the airport does have a paucity of power outlets for those looking to charge up before flying.
