Looks like Hawaii is the winner of the honeymoon sweepstakes....for today anyway. I'll wait for the wind to shift and see if it changes her mind.

I think DCA "Is Not Possible".

Does LGA and DCA even have CBP? LCY has the advantage of not being LHR or LGW. With DLR going there it has the potential being more convenient to people trying to get to the financial part of London as well as being much closer to the Olympic venues in 2012 which are primarily in east London.

I believe AC serves both so I would assume that CBP facilities are present.

Nothing special since the accommodations are at best ordinary compared to what everyone else is offering, the service is by what are essentially BA people, and the return requires a stop in Ireland.

I would question your inclusion of LGA and DCA up there. How do they do that? I don't think that 319 can even make it to a refueling stop in Newf..

US Women's Curling team allowed 4 points to Canada in the 3rd End.

Passengers pre-clear on flights to DCA.

Pax from Canada are almost all pre-screened up there but I would like to see where they would propose to put the border control facility at either DCA or LGA. That is why they would need to try to make it to a refueling stop in Gander.

Remember, the westbound flights from LCY make a quick techstop in SNN that also allows preclearance for US entry. From what I read, PAX have dealt with this with a smile as they know they still are ahead of the "hassle game" in regards to LHR. Its a powerful message that you can get from your seat in the financial district to your seat on the 318 in well less than an hour.

Gave up another 2 in the 5th End. Getting ugly.

Need to start preparing some brunch - andouille, eggs, and cereal.

LCY to LGA

Flights over 1500 miles are not allowed from LGA (with the exception of Denver) or on Saturdays. LGA only has customs for general aviation .

The one thing that always crosses my mind on A318's crossing the ocean is that some freak out over the thought of a 752 crossing the ocean and the 318 is only a wider version of the stubby 735 and not many like that aircraft.

Yeah, I did forget about the perimeter rule. Silly in my opinion, but oh well. EWR is closer to downtown anyhow.

The other advantage of the current LCY-JFK flights is that, because you are preclearing in SNN, you can essentially walk out the door at JFK and straight into your taxi/black car within five minutes of landing. Supposedly, preclearance at SNN doesn't take too much time, given that there are less than 40 people tops on board.

Aren't there regulatory barriers to flying from LGA and DCA? I would be shocked if they were removed for BA.

I wonder whether there is enough finance traffic at BOS to make this work.

Seems like a reasonable choice, apart from taking forever to get there from the East Coast.

Keep in mind that these are all-C planes that are aimed at finance traffic, rather than the general public. The selling point is service/convenience.

I wouldn't expect too many complaints about the Privatair flights from EWR, ORD, and IAH -- which are aimed at an analogous market.
