upcoming FM milestone for me

I just finished inputting my upcoming MR's to SFO and MEX and found that these flights will FINALLY make my average flight distance >500 miles! Ok....so it will be an average of 512 miles but it's still better than nothing!!

I also noticed a few ironic things. I've been through EWR 767 times and have 777 flights entered on CO. What makes this ironic is that neither the 767 or 777 planes are in my top 10 aircraft types and I can only recall ever flying on a 777 once in my life (IAH-EWR).

Of course I do have 311 ERJ-145's......so I've got that goin' for me....which is nice.

Hello, Box, from IAD. All is right with the world - I made the train, the flight went with no delays, and there is no snow falling yet. No bump, but that's probably a good thing as the 8:30 flight hasn't left yet and who know what will continue to happen...

And I really lucked out - my el-cheapo room at the IAD Aloft that I'm, ummm, totally going to stay in tonight...is ready NOW, so I can head over there, check in, take a shower, and take the shuttle back in time for tjtenor4 to pick me up because the federal government is getting shut down at midday! So no LH lounge for me today, but no waiting around either. ^

More random FM stuff

I also noticed lots of repeating numbers:

777 Continental flights
222 USAir flights
88 Northwest flights
11 American Airlines flights

44 trips on Dash-8's

33.3% of flights through EWR
3.3% of flights through CLE
2.2% of flights through IAD

33 flights from DCA-EWR
3.3% of my flights are EWR-DCA

We need to savor these moments since they won't be around forever (ie. the next mistake fare)

Did you jump an ERJ in Hong Kong and make your way over to Tibet?

I don't think the heavy stuff is going to come down for at least another hour. @:-)

That is the problem. They do fly there. At least I hope they do, since I am booked on US to Rio tomorrow

I should have said to places that they have started to fly to recently. Rio could have been on one of the atlas pages that got torn out.

And we will not worry about Marty losing it until he shows some signs of losing it.

Agreed on all counts. They play teh evil Leafs this evening, and published reports say that Ilya will make it to Newark in time to play. We shall see.

Welcome to my Christmas morning. My mother, myself, and monitor on the porch having breakfast.

My mother, off the cuff, "Michael, have you checked your flight?"

"No."

Good luck to all who are traveling today (including me).

And to those of us who have to stand outside for the balance of the evening. Got an email from the man-child that runs the hotel parking operation: "snow is not an excuse to call out; take public transportation." Yeah, sure. If I can't get out of my driveway nor safely walk anywhere, guess what?

Scientists have determined that the ability to cohesively pack a suitcase is directly proportional to the amount of red meat consumed.

Morning, Box. Now that the personal statement is in this morning's mail (thanks to icurhere2 and uncertaintraveler for your contributions - much, much appreciated), I can finally allow myself the time to read this month's Air & Space. There's a profile on Kelly Johnson that I've been looking forward to since I saw last month's teaser about it.

Check out the promo thread in the BD Forum. It has a link to the Wyndhamrewards sign-up page. 5000 miles per stay at any of their properties (max 4 stays) before Feb 28. I'm finding some of their motels priced as low as $31/night!

One hotel "stay" would push me up to having miles for 2x C+M redemptions to Europe or South America and for less money than just buying the miles from BD. :-:
