I was able to get a reservation at Babbo for 10:15pm... Anyone been there? Worth it? A friend here in Houston recommended it so I spent an hour on the phone trying to get through.

But I wonder, if its just to those two places in Italy, why continental does not denote so in their publications, like they do for 'to/from Japan only' items and a few others?

Handwritten notes are a dying art form. After the first interview for this hotel thing, I came home and had (differing) handwritten notes out to both guys who interviewed me with a same-day postmark. People have stopped paying attention to detail like that, so it's a great way to set yourself apart in any setting, not just interviewing.
