The Brickskeller and RFD (the place where you pulled out the Air Astana card) now have one variety of Great Lakes on tap and three varieties in bottles.

Coolio. Stumbling distance to the Brickskellar is a huge +, and worth the $10 premium (IMO). I doubt there's much else to do in D.C. during a blizzard than enjoy as much Belgian brew as possible.

ETA - I would come out and pick you up after you repeatedly fall into snowbanks in a blaze of drunken glory, but I will be on my way to HNL. |

For my site visit to middle-of-nowhere, deep south, I've discovered the time and reimbursed cost of the following two options are the same:
* Driving 10 hours each way, * Driving the hour to the airport and flying but only getting EQM for 4 * 500 mile segments (two each way). Does the Box suggest driving and putting the extra $400 above car operating costs into maintenance or flying? Take the plane. I have long realized that travel to the hinterland is infested with Kenjets or their evil twin. |

Frankly, if you guys want to drink Belgians all night, you are far better off going to the bar at Pizzeria Paradiso at 20th & P (two blocks closer to Dupont Circle than the Brickskeller, which is at 22nd & P). They have far more Belgians both on tap and bottled than the Brikskeller and are less expensive, overall. The Brickskeller is overrated and overpriced, in my opinion, and they never have half the beers in stock that they claim on the menu. Just before Christmas, Pizzeria Paradiso was serving St Bernardus Christmas on tap for $5 during happy hour. Pizzeria Paradiso will be very crowded by the time you guys get there, however.

I would not drive that car for a 20 hour RT but YMMV. |

I doubt that the End of More will be found on a golf course. When sbm12 victimized some poor tree (and the resulting thunderous echo, which was actually the tree saying "ouch") with a poorly struck missile of a golf ball and caught a 40-yard carom that parked him in the middle of the fairway, I thought I had seen the End of More. :p
