I know it's been said that the fleet plan might be out of date, but I thought I'd add that the 6 or 8 new 777's should be in there too. CO press release said 8 IIRC, but Boeing order book this week has 6.

2008 Order Update:
CO placed an order on 2.21.2008 for 8 additional 777 aircraft. Two will be delivered as 777-200ERs (same as the existing fleet) in early 2009. The other 6 can be any 777 variant or converted to 787 orders, to be finalized later. Delivery for the other 6 planes is expected in the 2011-2012 timeframe.

The reason the Boeing order book only shows 6 new is that CO is believed to have taken over delivery slots of another carrier, so they aren't new orders to Boeing.

I also updated the FAQ to reflect that the 772 AVOD retrofit won't be complete until EoY '09 based on data that pptp provided.
While looking I noticed that the last 752 we tracked going in/out of retrofit was #140, due out on 2/12. Anyone have any insight on other 752s that may have gone in and or come out of retrofit?

Confirmed reservations
The topic is said to have come up on Continental before - but it is not found in either FAQ or FAQ development thread:
What does "Confirmed reservations" actually mean for elite members? And for non-status holders of economy tickets?
The Continental website:
http://www.continental.com/web/en-US.../services.aspx
states
What does then happen if a flight is sold out and in due time (48+ hours ahead) silver or higher elite members wish to buy full-fare economy tickets? Assuming that any expected cancellations and no-shows are already covered by overbooking and the only way to accommodate additional passengers is to involuntarily deny boarding to some holders of confirmed tickets?

Confirmed Reservations: Platinum Elite members receive confirmed reservations -- even when a flight is sold out -- when purchasing an unrestricted Y class ticket at least 24 hours prior to departure. Gold and Silver Elite members must purchase at least 48 hours prior to departure. (Available on most flights operated by Continental Airlines and Copa Airlines only. See SkyTeam Elite Plus benefits for long-haul SkyTeam-operated flights.)

NW WBC Upgrades
Do you think that information could be posted here on how one upgrades with OP miles a NWA economy TATL reservation on line. Is it possible or does one have to call the OPSC and do it over the phone? I have spent too much time looking for the answer on this site. Thanks.

We can work to add it to the FAQ, but in the meantime, I can answer the question. You must have purchased a Y or B fare on NW. To use your CO miles to upgrade you call CO and they process it. It cannot be done online.
There is more information here, among other places. I found that with a search for "upgrade tatl nw" and it was in the top 5 results.

Companion Upgrades
I think this is a good item to be added to "Companion Upgrades?"

On the aircraft fleet page, you can now put the 739ER seat map.

Thanks for pointing this out. I've added the link.
I also updated a whole bunch of stuff relative to the EUA/Battlefield upgrade process based on the info provided around post 290-310 in the PDA thread. Among the major updates to the EUA section, I removed the mention of the EUA cycles happening at midnight Central time each of the 5 days leading up to the flight. My experience has been that the EUA is now a 24/7 run, and that they do not run a special batch job at midnight anymore. If anyone has experience/evidence otherwise please let me know and I'll put that info back in the post.
I also updated the in-flight power post, though I'm not sure it is 100% complete.

Domestic Award travel info in FAQ
Hi,
I'd like to suggest a section on "domestic" stopover and open-jaw AWARD travel rules in the FAQ. Did I maybe miss it?? Here's part of the info I'd like to see: http://www.continental.com/web/en-US..._stopover.aspx
Thanks,
Phil

I made two small updates to the FAQ: the current lack of BOS elite security lines and a small nuance about non-elites travelling with elites only being eligible for revups at the 2 hour window.

hey there...im new here...i have a lil silly question...im trying to book a flight LAX-CCS-SEA-BUR or just LAX-CCS-LAX...since ive been so loyal to CO, CM, RG and AF i usually dont fly any other and rarely B6 and VY...last feb. i booked a ticket to CCS with my miles but on the way back i had to reschedule for few more days cuz i decided to go to GIG...so i flew back with DL but because is a reward flight they dont give miles...now DL and AC have a good fare to CCS but loking through Continental.com i realized that flights with DL dont award Elite Points but yet they give elite miles...so i that case what happends with te points???? whats the difference??? thks
