Today's DC Groupon is $20 for $50 in cocktails at the airplane-themed Fly Lounge near Dupont Circle. Purchase before midnight. Groupon valid till 03/23/10.

Count me in for the DC dinner - either of the restaurant is Ok - whatever the group decides.

I'm also going to try to make the Annapolis dinner, though I'm not 100% sure yet if I can. I love Annapolis and it was on my list of things to do while I'm here.

BWI-Annapolis pub trans??

Is there a public trans option from BWI to Annapolis? I discover I get
in to BWI at 2:15 and could be interested in a few brews.

Not that I'm aware of, but we're only about 15min from BWI so we could probably pick you up unless we have someone coming in from that area.

The voters have spoken.

Dinner will be Tuesday, October 6, at 6:30 pm at Boulevard Woodgrill http://www.boulevardwoodgrill.com, 2901 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA (2 blocks from the Clarendon station on Metro's Orange line).

Please post to the thread if you plan to attend. I don't believe the restaurant takes reservations, but I'll give the restaurant a call the afternoon of the 6th to give them a heads up of our expected numbers.

Hope to see many of you there.

Dinner Tomorrow Monday night (Sept 28) in IAD area -- anyone about?

United were 4 hours late into LAX today from SYD so our seamless SYD-LAX-IAD-EZE is not so seamless, and we missed the flights.

We are then headed to Caracas, the no#1 Murder/Kidnap city on earth right now, so it may be our very last FT gathering! Take a read of the OFFICIAL US State Dept warnings: http://xoogok.notlong.com

So Margo and I unexpectedly have 4 hours in IAD Monday evening (tomorrow) if anyone is about, and wants to catch up for a drink/dinner in IAD area.

We arrive LAX-IAD on UA 966 at 4.35pm and fly IAD-EZE on 847 at 9.52pm.

Well be all checked thru from LAX, with all boarding passes etc in hand, so if we get back to IAD at about 9.15pm, will be cool.

Apologies to Greg, gvdIAD for the slight thread hijack, but I am an honorary IAD doo attendee sort of, after about 25 FT dinners there, and have met most of you regulars!

Please post a note here if anyone is about, and can swing by and grab us at about 6-6.30pm say after work, from IAD pax drop off area. Or we can catch an airport shuttle to Sheraton or Hilton Reston and wait there, if that makes more sense, and someone can get us back by 9ish.

Clyde's Reston I always like for FT gatherings, but whatever anyone suggests is cool with us.

Or email ozstamps[at]gmail.com

Glen
.

You are now up to 55 posts after 8 years on FT! I think for one of the DUS Doos you were on 5 posts.

G'day. Glen, I can pick y'all up at IAD tomorrow afternoon for a rendezvous at Clyde's in Reston. It'll be great to catch up since I haven't seen either of you since SYD eons ago.

No worries, Glen. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to make it -- timing problems. Hopefully I'll see you and Margo sometime before ADL, though.

Greg .. no worries! See you again at OzFest .. if not before!

Thanks so much Suzi ... OK we are set - for anyone else with a couple of free hours --

Clyde's Reston at say 6.45pm Tuesday.

Great food, great friendly service, nice atmosphere, nice and quiet so yor can hear a conversation, easy free parking, and from our last dinner there in May, HALF PRICE BOTTLED WINE as I recall on Tuesdays? Someone might be able to check on that! As a table of 12 or 15 we saved $100s on that!

They had a few daily deals that are not posted on their website.

A few pix from our last dinner there -
