I've been remiss in keeping up with this thread, but I'm going to try to at least make happy hour this afternoon. Since it looks like 1 or 2 have had to cancel, hopefully I won't mess up the seating!

FBKSan - you're definitely welcome for both happy hour and dinner.
I just reconfirmed with Belga Cafe and will see folks tonight.

GAH. Work reared its ugly head this weekend and unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to get away tonight -- new publication launching tomorrow, inexplicable delays and snafus, things going wrong in every possible way, etc, etc. While I could certainly use a drink or two and the company of fellow FTers, I'm going to have to bow out tonight and get this done or tomorrow will not be fun. Sorry, guys.

Argh! I had a last-minute conference call come up, and I can't make it. Very sorry, especially given that everyone came to Capitol Hill! I'll do my best to be there next time!

After consulting with boxo, I have decided that the next get together should be lunch on Sunday, December 13. The location should be Metro-accessible to facilitate boxo's transfer to DCA for a 16:00 flight. Does anyone have a Sunday lunch spot to recommend? Please?

So probably something on the Blue or Yellow line... anything good in Crystal City or Rosslyn? My recommendations are about four years out of date, unfortunately. Pentagon Row might also be an option.
I'm free between about 12:30 and 4 on Sunday, so I am a tentative yes.

Darn. I'll be visiting my brother that weekend thanks to the Sothwest $25/segment sale last month.

Chinatown / Gallery Place is very accessible
Metro Yellow line from DCA. Also, Red and Green lines. For great eats - Matchbox, Zengo, Clydes, Jaleo, or there is always the locals favorite - Tony Cheng's Mongolian bbq.

The Penn Quarter area has many choices, and as djlndc notes, it's right on the Yellow line, which is a straight shot out to DCA.
Are folks (especially boxo
) more interested in brunch or lunch fare?

Ohhh, haven't had Mongolian BBQ in a decade. Is it the kind of place where you pick the stuff and have it cooked by the bowlful?
I honestly have no preferences to brunch or lunch. Looks like a slim group. Three of us? Quality over quantity.
Looks like the extended forecast is going to be rain / snow showers for the weekend.
