Okay. Another opening for dinner tomorrow night at 6:30 pm at the Morrison Clark. Any takers?

Anyone else interested in dinner at 6:30 pm tonight before I call the Morrison-Clark and reduce the reservation from six people to five? If so, please post to the thread or send me a pm before 4:00 pm today. Thanks.

You should be, and Nicholas too who I guess missed that he had cleared. This place is my repeat list - great service, beautifully prepared food and great taste across all 3 courses. It's a great rest week menu if anyone is still looking for a place to visit and I hope to go back some other time.

I'm assuming there are no openings on tonight's waitlist for SEI. Please post if there is an opening. If there isn't any, have a good dinner a let me know how it went.

Sorry, no one canceled. I can highly recommend it, though -- and it looks like the restaurant is offering the special Restaurant Week prices through the end of September. The food was of very high quality (the only item our table wasn't thrilled with was the watermelon gespaccio; other appetizers and all the entrees were well received). Portion sizes are generous. Service was a little uneven, but that's not too uncommon for Restaurant Week. It's fairly noisy, so probably not the best choice if you're looking for an intimate dinner. Hopefully we'll see you at a DC HH event soon.

Anyone interested in trying to do something in DC on Saturday the 12th? I could do either a late lunch (1 pm or later), or dinner. Please suggest possible locations -- I'm definitely looking for something Metro-accessible.

Having discovered this thread (and having been an alumnus from the HHs back in, say, 2001 and 2002), I'm game. Not the 12th, but my vote is minimal at this point.

Blacksalt has extended the restaurant week lunch menu through 9/12 and has a 2 pm reservation available. Not metro though. Very good lunch.

That'd work for me. And the price for lunch is especially attractive. Is parking available?

street parking, some with, some without meters -- but I don't think you need to feed them on Saturday.
I've made a 2 pm reservation for 5.

I have to pass on this one since I'm reading this too late. I'll try to attend a get together next time, hopefully w/ Metro accessibility.
