I agree! Last year I spent 3 weeks trying to figure out how to ship wine internationally. My giftee posted every day or two wondering where his gift was. Finally I gave up on the wine and put together a very nice package of gifts picked specifically based on his interests, clues, and some FT thread sleuthing. I know it was delivered and yet didn't hear a peep or a post. It kind of made me wish I had just sent a $50 amazon gift card.

Why would you do that? Obviously, someone put a lot of work into this project...................and someone was expecting you to reciprocate the kindness of the season. If your attitude is really so flippant, what an inconsiderate bustard you are!

Nothing yet
As of close of business on Friday (I used the office address), nothing has been received from either of my Santas.
Over the last week or two, I've seen posts from my giftees which said they really liked their surprises! I'll maybe come see you again next year if you promise solemnly to:
A: Bake Cookies (chocolate chip is preferred) or double-chocolate brownies.
B: Have chocolate milk available. (do you see a trend here?)
C: Either get a chimney sweep to come in or arrange to have my red suit cleaned. Santa will never be confused with a wee elf and those pesky dry cleaners charge by the pound.
Ho Ho Ho! Happy New Year!

Thank you
Thank you Secret Santa (Richard). Royal Mail must be off strike because my beautiful gift arrived today. I have the water on to make a pot of tea, I will use my new tea cup right away. Thank you also for the teabag holder. What great gifts for me. As an aside, my brother is busy working on my mother's family tree, it may mean a trip to Scotland, then I might get to meet my SS in person. Happy New Year.

I have received confirmations from MUM that I received some deliveries from my Secret Santas. (One being from Amazon... Could it possibly be the most awesome movie in the world, well of '07?) I'll find out next month when I get to PVD.
Wharvey, I'll PM as soon as I am back.
Thanks again!
Sounds like Santa was really good this year!

Santa wants to wish everyone a happy 2008 celebration... and thank each one of you for what you did to make this Secret Santa event a memorable experience (hopefully positive) for your fellow community members.

Yippe!
My mailbox had the greatest surprise in it today, perfect timing! A Gift Card to AMC theaters! I can't wait!
Thank you! Thank You! Thank You! I have the best SS ever!
I am looking forward to a nice movie with popcorn and diet coke. Yes, I am one of those who would rather eat their calories than drink them!
Thanks again SS!!!

Thank you Secret Santas!
Thank you to both my secret Santas for fabulous gifts; I finally made it to my office to pick them up! From one Santa, I received some fabulous scented candles (I LOVE Illuminations!). Thank you, anonymous Santa!
My other Secret Santa sent me a great collection of goodies - books and a candle and lip balm - lots of great stuff! He/She always made a fabulous little game providing hints to help me guess their identity... I may have cracked the code, but I'm eagerly waiting to find out if I was right!
Happy Holidays and a Happy 2008 to all!

Santa wants to encourage people who have not done so to post what gifts they got from their Santas.... a number of you told me privately what you got... and some of the gifts were amazing... and great creativity.
People will look to this thread next year for ideas... and you can help them.
Thanks,
William

Movie of choice, let me think. There is the new movie with Will Smith, "I am Legend", heard it is scary. There are some click flicks, but the other half might not go for that. (it is supposed to be a date) I need something Romantic . . .
Maybe my Secret Santa has some ideas!
