Unfortunately, I feel an obligation to continually followup to try and ensure everyone gets a gift...either from their assigned santa, a substitute santa, or me. So, people taking until February, March... or July as it has happened the past few years really does not allow me to "close" out the year.

I would be happy to be a substitute Santa for someone. Just send me the info.

Thank you Santa!
A package from Santa (the one with elves in Montana) was received at my office on the 2nd. I was just now able to get in to pick it up.
Thank you for the assortment of chocolates, a "kippie bag" (not the true ziplock variety) full of all sorts of travel toiletries, CD of christmas carols, and some other interesting 'not exactly liquids, and not quite gels' that I intend to use on a regular basis. Lest I forget, also, the hard-to-find Ricolas!!!
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness, and please excuse my late response.

To my secret santa from Poland:
Wow - the wines, cheese, and chocolates that you brought back were amazing. Thanks for the explanation that accompanied them.
To my secret santa who sent the Harry and David Sympathy Basket :
Thank you for sending this to me, but am I really in need of a sympathy basket? As a reference point for future years as I assume that you are a new santa: a little bit of thought and customization would be a nice touch for your future recipients. The pears and cheese were tasty.

Do you really respond to folks in real life this way? If you receive a present from a friend or a co-worker, do you give them "tips" on how to be better at gift-giving?

Can I ask that everyone let Santa deal with any "non-responsive" elves...?
This thread should be about the great gifts received... and what joy you received as well.
If you are unhappy, I am personally sorry... but you may just want to let me know privately and I will share it with your giver...
Trying to keep the holiday spirit going a bit longer..... Santa was out doing some shopping today for Christmas 2008.

Word up, Santa! I'd like to say that I puffy heart love my Secret Santas this year. I got some killer travel books that are going to keep me busy for quite a long time with fascinating tales of faraway places, a very cool agate photo frame, and the superb and NEW National Geographic book, "Journeys of a Lifetime : 500 of the World's Greatest Trips," which is getting so much attention in my house, it's ridiculous.
And I'm kind of excited that I'm already thinking about next year and what kind of mischief I can get into for my Santas.
