Is anyone going anywhere for drinks after? I just saw that I never confirmed and left myself in the maybe spot so I am not on the list but would be up for meeting for drinks after if anyone else is.

Sorry.

c230k78 Nov 21, 2006 8:43 am

Not a big deal... I just need to remember to be more watchful of the thread next time ;)

At least there wont be any discussions around t-bags at this event :)

He said the T-word! ;)

Someone had to!

Live from DFW....Hey guys I had alot of fun last night between dinner and then drinks with c230k78 after. Thanks for the recommendation to check in at D this morning. I pulled up at airport express parking and they gave me a coupon for $10day at terminal parking so I went to D and parked right there on level 3. Total time froom car to being through security: 15 minutes! And I had to check bags! Hopefully the weather back east does not delay my 9:45 flight to DCA!

Wrong!

I guess you got dcstudent back before he turned into a pupkin.

dcstudent Nov 23, 2006 7:00 am

Yes, no pumpkin here, although only 2.5 hours of sleep! No problem...I slept on the plane. Did we ever resolve the 42D bra under the table issue, or the $20 (bleeping un family like content)......issue? You guys (and gals) make for a fun group to share a meal with!

On a separate note (although possibly better posted in the AA forum) do any of you know how to send thanks to an AA employee to make sure they get it. There was an amazing gate agent at DFW yesterday whom I would like to thank but I had run out of my thank you gifts by the time I ran into her (insert joke -based on our conversation at dinner- about how I probably just want to hit on her here). The deal is if I send a gift card (usually I give out $5-10 cards for places like Starbucks) I don't want whoever opens the envelope to take it!

Hopefully, I'll make another one of these dos sometime!

hey gang,

was a December date or locale discussed? just trying to plan my trips home for December.

happy thanksgiving all! :)

techgirl Nov 23, 2006 8:12 am

Given how crazy December gets, I'd be a big fan of either a Saturday/Sunday lunch somewhere (we can pick somewhere not TOO close to the shopping where we can all take a break) or a weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) dinner.

I don't mind planning if its a day I can make (which would be):

Sat December 9 (lunch)
Sun December 10 (lunch or dinner)

Fri December 15 (dinner)
Sun December 17 (lunch or dinner)

(I've got the other two weekends open too... but they run up against Christmas and New Years and I'm sure folks are splitting town.)

OR... we could go against the grain and do something during the week that week AFTER Christmas. That seems to always be a dead week - if folks are around vs. splitting town.

I like the weekend lunch idea. I have the company xmas thing on Fri 12/15, and I'm sure others have similar shindigs on other weekend evenings.

Yeah, I do... that Friday was the only one where I don't (yet) have a party to go to.

Miss Mary, what weekend looks better for you making it back into town? Weren't you supposed to (ahem) be here the 16th? My calendar says you are (something with Cindie....)

Aggie Girl Nov 23, 2006 8:28 am

I will be in town on 12/14 for our holiday party that evening, and here that Friday and Saturday (and yep, Jen -- I have something w/you and Cindie on the calendar that day!). Planning to leave early on Sunday to head back to NC (via car, taking my car back w/me). So, if the world were to revolve around me, I'd prefer lunch or dinner 12/16 (depending on what else we plan w/Cindie) if at all possible. :)

16th won't work for me. We are teaching at Make during the day (class you have already taken) and then I thought evening was already planned (or that is what my calendar says....) so both lunch and dinner appear to be taken up.

Is there another weekend you will be in? Or will you have time here during the holidays - I'm thinking maybe folks won't be around?

Or maybe lunch will have to be on the 16th and I'll just miss it. :(

Aggie Girl Nov 23, 2006 8:47 am

no, you can't miss it!! :D

I'm also in town the next weekend - I get in on Friday 12/22 and leave on Christmas day.
