I don't know my work schedule for that week yet, but given that it's a short week, out of town travel is less likely. Let's be optimistic, and put me down as a yes.

so no 5:30am yoga that wednesday???

i guess that means 8:30 or 10:15am, right?

Um, I'm not the one with the potential out of town visitor - or is yoga going to be a group activity that week? :p

(And yes, I can do 5:30 am - watch me!)

Count me in (well, maybe) - I am allergic to milk; can I still eat at this place? (no milk, butter, cream, etc)

I am down as a maybe. I come in from a trip that afternoon, so barring any major airline staffing/sick out reassignments, I plan to attend. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Well, you can't do the first course or the last course... :)

If we have enough people, we may need to seat ourselves at two tables - one for those doing the full dinner and one for those not - that is the one limitation of going for fondue as there are certain things that they make everyone agree on and things like the cheese courses they normally charge on a per head basis. The best prices are for the three (cheese/salad/main) and four (cheese/salad/main/dessert) course dinners.

Things that everyone around the same burner have to agree upon - what type of cheese for the cheese course, what cooking method (oil, broth, etc.), and what chocolate for dessert course. Everyone individually gets to choose their salad and what meat/veggie combos they want for their main course (and how to cook their items once the method is chosen).

Since we are going with a nice, traffic friendly, start time --- move me from the maybe to Yes

I need to see what kind of chocolate it is. If they have 100% dark chocolate I can have that because there is no milk in it! -crosses fingers-

I will give them a call and check it out. For sure I am skipping course #1 :)

I am going from maybe to no. I volunteer with the Airline Ambassadors Medical Escort program and am going to Paraguay the week of the 12th to bring a boy to Atlanta for prosthetic limbs. As a result, I have moved all my flying to the week of Thanksgiving so I have the week of the 12th off. Hope to make the next one though. Y'all have fun.

Empedocles, do you think I might be able to add a +1 to my name?

empedocles Nov 1, 2006 2:53 pm

Does that imply that you are bringing someone, or you just feel left out from all the cool people with a +1 after their handles in past events? :p

Done.

s80dude, that is so cool - and a very generous contribution of your time. Looking forward to seeing you at the next one. :)
