Hi all,
I just graduated from Wake Forest a week or so ago with a BA in Political Science, minor in journalism. During my time at Wake I was heavily involved with our newspaper, having served as a section editor for three years, a staff photographer for two years and working as a business consultant for a semester (managing the newspaper's budget during this time). I'm currently looking for a job - I'm living on the North Shore of Boston right now but would be willing to go anywhere (and would be willing to travel, relocate, etc.). Ideally, I'd like to do something in public relations, but would be open to pretty much anything in the PR, journalism or sales fields. If anyone knows of anything or would like a resume, please shoot me a PM. Thanks. |
Internet Marketing Manager / PPC / Affiliate Manager
May as well try again.
Resume at end but a few notes first. I am currently self employed and while it is financially fine, it is very dull working by myself, so I want to get a job to 'get out of the house'. Ideally I would like a role that involves affiliate or loyalty marketing (and in true Flyertalk style, a reasonable amount of air travel ;) ) although I would consider other roles (even Call Center Management that I have a lot of experience in) with the right company. Ideal role would be working with a rewards program of some sort since that is what I have a LOT of experience in! Location wise: I am based in Austin, TX so that would be the first choice. I am happy to consider relocation anywhere in the US. After October 2008 (when I will have 'done my time' as a greencard holder and have become a US citizen while retaining my Australian & South African citizenship) I would consider international positions (Pref. UK/Ireland/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/South Africa) as well. If you think you might have or know of a position that would suit me - PLEASE PM me. Figured I'd bump this :)
I'm a public relations professional, with extensive experience in the motorsports industry. I'm skilled in all facets of motorsports PR - punchy, on-deadline press releases, Web content creation, driver scheduling and minding, media pitching and more. I also enjoy working to build a fanbase, helping racing fans feel connected to and invested in my clients and their on-track successes. Most recently, I handled media and PR duties for GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing and its drivers, Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty. I worked with the team from Day One of its professional life, building media exposure and fan enthusiasm as Bob Stallings' outfit climbed the ladder from upstart underdog to championship contender. I'm proud to have been part of the team's record-smashing 2007 Grand-Am Daytona Prototype championship run. I'm passionate about my clients and the stories they have to tell. Those stories have been told in Road & Track, Sports Illustrated, AutoWeek, USA Today, SPEED TV's Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain and many other national, regional and local media outlets. My writing has repeatedly won top collegiate journalism awards, culminating in second-place honors in the 2007 Associated Collegiate Press Reporter of the Year competition. I also have management experience, as I was editor in chief of my college's weekly newspaper in 2006-07 - one of ten in the country to be judged an ACP Pacemaker Finalist. Of course, this being FlyerTalk, I welcome opportunities that involve extensive travel. If you think my passion and talents fit your needs, please get in touch via e-mail or PM. I'll be happy to supply a complete resumé and references. |
I need a new job in a totally new field. I feel like my talents and potentials are going to waste. I've come to a point where I am willing to start back from scratch (basically entry level) in a different field with a significant pay cut (currently $55,000, willing to go down to as much as $40,000). The only serious consideration that I ask is that it'd be a company based in the Los Angeles Area as I have to take care of my disabled mother.
I have six years of hands-on experience about the manufacturing and inventory process. Now I want to move 360 degrees and go into frontline sales or marketing; in hopes that my prior knowledge in manufacturing and inventory control can be utilized in creating new products or steering the marketing of goods with minimal fixed and variable costs. But I am stuck in the never ending paradox of no experience no job, hence no experience. Keywords: operations and inventory management, manufacturing, Navision, database entry, production scheduling, cost analysis, 3 years of Spanish, project management, warehouse control Seeking job type: entry-level sales, purchasing or marketing Talents I feel are going to waste: Native-level Japanese speaker, technophile (can't do squat of programming, but love the latest high tech gears and utilizing them for efficiency of life), and of course a nut in collecting frequent flyer miles on American Airlines :D If you are interested, please feel free to PM me. |
