Hiring: Sales Manager - India
 
The primary responsibility of the Sales Manager for India is to drive sales revenue in the assigned territory, India, and develop the pipeline and foundation for future growth. We are looking for a self-starter who is a dynamic and self motivated individual, with the confidence and knowledge to manage and close large enterprise solution deals. The Sales Manager should have a proven track record with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in solution sales, preferably to large enterprises such as telcos and utilities. The Sales Manager will be focused on acquiring new customers by working with and through an existing network of resellers and partners. He/ She will define the territory strategy and be empowered to execute it. This is a strong leadership role and the SM will carry the quota for the Indian territory. This position reports to the Director of Sales, Asia Pacific, located in Israel. He/ She will be based in the India office in Gurgaon.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Achieve Territory’s revenue target
  • Build and execute a territory plan
  • Utilise in any sales campaign and in the most effective fashion the internal resources available
  • Build the foundations for future revenues
  • Monitor and record all sales related activity to each account or prospect
  • Work in harmony with the company executives and management
  • Maintain an awareness of accounts and industries from which to leverage strengths as appropriate

Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years proven solution selling expertise in software industry
  • Experience in selling CRM, ERP or WFM solutions to telcos and/or utilities is preferred
  • B. Sc or B.A. in Business
  • Willingness for travel (approximately 50%) within assigned territory

Having established myself as a leading Project Manager and Technical Strategist at my last employer, I developed a reputation for successful project leadership, product management, cross-functional team leadership and engaging various product, development and executive leaders into effective virtual teams dedicated to improving product quality, features and market interest.

I possess strong business acumen, and I'm adept at translating customer requirements into business cases which can be developed into technical solutions. I'm comfortable communicating with different teams, customers and all levels of management with an expertise in building cross functional relationships.

I've led new company product introductions for my former employer's IT department from beta programs through release to production, ensuring best project management practices were followed, including the use of Agile/Scrum.

I do part time work for a local musician/entrepreneur as a virtual assistant and part of my job is hiring other professionals.

He has written a book on "how to downsize your home and your life" and is looking to market this book over the web. He's looking for consultants in the following areas for a short term gig:

• marketing professional with EXPERTISE in rating and promoting home-based business websites on a national level. He has a prototype and would like suggestions and recommendation for attracting a wide audience, including where to place the book.

• a web programmer who can develop and implement a payment structure for consumers to download the book, possibly with a random password setup.

He's in SF but you don't need to be local. Hourly rate to be discussed -but I am surmising he needs the marketing expertise before he goes ahead with programming changes. He's looking for a relatively short turnaround - the next 4-6 weeks.

I'm very grateful to Bundy Bear for giving me a temp job in Australia during my short stay in Brisbane. It was a kind act and helped me both financially and emotionally during a period of time when I was extremely bored here. So thanks!

Position Description
As a member of the Solution Consulting team, the Solution Consultant is a key player in an exciting, customer interfacing role that couples technical and customer relationship skills to successfully sell our workforce management product offerings. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with the sales team, mainly District Sales Managers, to provide expert services for pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations, Proof Of Concepts, Cost Benefits Analyses, etc.
  • Respond to Invitation To Tenders, RFPs and RFIs.
  • Create Solution Description documents that provide a clear description of an opportunity, including the prospect’s business description, goals for the project, products being proposed, and more.
  • Conduct on-site business focused consulting to review the existing operational processes of a prospect or customer to recommend an optimal process that utilizes the pertinent products of the our product suite.
  • Act as the liaison between Sales and Professional Services for the purposes of knowledge sharing and creation of professional services estimates.
  • Training of partners and internal sales consultants regarding the use and demonstration of the ServiceOptimization Suite of products.
  • Provide technical support to the District Sales Managers during the pre-sale phases.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and activities, as directed by the Director of Solution Consulting - NA (e.g. Industry overview documents, new sales materials)

Requirements:
  • B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent - Preferable. MBA – Advantage.
  • Strong desire to work in pre-sales mode with new products.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with the implementation/pre-sales of enterprise commercial business applications
  • 2 years experience working with Visual Basic. VB.Net. C++ - preferable.
  • Experience with MS SQL-Server, and NT.
  • Experience with development of Web-based business applications, using XML, ASP, and VBScript.
  • Familiarity with SOA architecture – Must
  • Ability to take a lead role in planning and organizing pilot/proof of concept projects – Must
