Not sure what if anything is out there for me, but I am desperately wanting to relocate to Western Canada ( British Columbia/Vancouver or Alberta/Calgary). I graduated two years ago with my Bachelors in Criminology as I was planning on going to law school, but plans changed and I have for the past two years worked in the field of Human Resources/Recruiting. If anyone knows of any positions in these areas that would be awesome! The challenge for me has been finding a company that is willing to "sponsor" me through the immigration process.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Looking for Purchasing/Supply Chain Exec position
My field is Purchasing/Supply chain. Specifically, I focus on sourcing components, assemblies and finished goods to LCR suppliers (Low Cost Region) in order to bolster competitiveness of domestic final value add and reduce total landed costs to acquire raw materials for production of discrete manufactured items.
Also well qualified for manufacturing operations, product engineering, or program management. I've done everything in a manufacturing organization except Marketing, Accounting & Finance. Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Supply Chain, Technical Sales - all been there, done that in my career path. Have worked in automotive, durable consumer products, white goods appliances, lawn & garden appliances, & institutional plumbing fixtures.
BS Engineering from a well respected school.
MS Engineering Management from a well respected school.
MBA from one of the top B-schools in the world (depends on who's rankings you are looking at - been #1 more often than not one the most widely publicized biennial ranking).
Most recently, I *was* a Group VP with responsiblity for Purchasing & Supplier Quality for our company's operations in USA, Germany, France, plus expansion efforts in Hungary & China. I have lots of experience dealing with Asians of all stripes, and Eastern Europe. Some India. Not much South/Central America. If anyone has leads for an upper level position (Director/VP/SVP) please PM me.
On the positive side, seems I'll have more time for FT for a while.

Have Degree/Suitcase, Will Travel :)
Hello, Thought I might as well post here...Can't Hurt anything, so here I go:
Education:
BA Finance
Employment History:
-March 2006 to Present: Sales for a Financial Services/Insurance Company
-January 2005 to May 2005: Intern for the United States Senate Committee on Finance
-January 2003 to December 2005( except for January '05 to May '05): Student Baker on my college campus. I worked the late night 11:00pm - 3:00am production shifts. Faced a deadline every night.
-February 2001 to August 2001: Bookkeeper/Accounting for a small mail order company with approx $6000 to $8000 in daily sales.
Licenses:
-NASD Series 7 and Series 66
-State of Virginia Life and Health
Languages:
-Only fluent in English, but I have taken 2 semester of Russian and continue to work at it...I hope to be conversational by years end if not sooner depending on how much my wife will work with me.
Continuing Education:
-I have every intention of going back to get an MBA after my wife has finished her PhD in 3 years or so and I hope to have completed Level 1 of the CFA exam by this time next year.
What I am looking for:
-I consider myself to be quite flexible. I would prefer something in the Financial Services/Wealth Management Industry ideally in Securities Analysis/Portfolio Analysis end of the business. I am also interested in and enjoy research and I would also consider the consulting side of finance. One other area I would consider would be Corporate Finance/Financial Analysis. I feel I can do just about anything a degree in Finance would qualify me for. I also would be interested in Health Care Management because the majority of my time working for the Finance Committee was spent working on current issues facing Medicare and Medicaid. Again, I feel I am quite flexible and given the fact that I am a quick learner I feel I can do most anything my BA in Finance would qualify me for at this point. I love reading and staying current on all happenings domestically and globally and if I am not busy with work or posting on FT you can usually find me reading the WSJ or The Economist.
Location:
-I am located in Norfolk right now. I would consider moving most anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic Eastern Seaboard. My preferences would be Washington DC, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, or Chicago. I realize those last 2 are not East Coast. Ideally for at least the next couple of years I would prefer to either stay in either Norfolk or take a job that would require a great deal of travel and allow me to keep my residence in Norfolk.
Thank you for reading about me and PM me with any questions you may
have.
David

actually we have merged older user names with newer ones without loss of post count, etc. if there is a specific reason. If you want to change, please let us know but certainly it may not be that much an issue outside of these forums. Again, let us know if we can help.

We are looking for a COO/VP of Operations; ideally from a healthcare background
Although there won't be much travel involved in this position, I thought I'd open it up to prospective candidates here. The position will be based out of our Florida location (North Palm Beach) the ad we are posting is below. Click here for our web site and more information on the company/services we provide to physicians. You can contact me directly at [email protected] if interested. Thanks
Company is seeking a dynamic, hand-on, creative Chief Operating Officer/VP of Operations. The COO/VP will be a strong operator and problem-solver with financial acumen and keen technical and business knowledge especially in the areas of business process management and business process re-engineering. The COO/VP of Operations will be expected to achieve efficiency and profit objectives while assuring there is a strong management team in place capable of effectively growing and managing the business. In support of the company's growth strategy, the COO/VP of Operations must take a chief role in leading efforts to integrate and optimize the functional efforts of the business which have already been put together.
We are a national firm that provides back-office services for specialized medical practices. By taking over routine activities such as billing, coding and compliance, transcription, recruiting, and other management duties, we streamline business processes so that physicians can focus on patient care instead of accounting details
The ideal candidate will have proven success with the effective and efficient management of physician group billing/collections and other management practice management functions. This includes all activities typically associated with physician group operations, including physician relations, financial management, accounting, human resources, information technology, clinical services, ancillary services, risk management, facilities management, etc.
In addition to outstanding technical skills we seek evidence of impact, leadership and broad general business acumen in the context of enterprises which have grown through acquisition, or geographic expansion, and the subsequent successful integration of those operations. While having a strong grasp of the operations, the successful candidate must also possess a financial perspective and broad business understanding and be able to assist the other members of the senior management team in the development of overall strategies and achievement of objectives. It is critical that the person has demonstrated success in developing and leading an operations team within an open and flexible environment. Finally, we seek a mature businessperson with unquestioned integrity, one with the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment
An MBA or related degree would be preferred
Attractive base salary plus incentives

CNMI Assistant Attorneys General, Civil & Criminal
I understand that the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is in need of some attorneys, both civil and criminal.
Lawyers admitted elsewhere in the U.S. can practice with the CNMI OAG for up to four years until they need to have passed the CNMI bar exam if they wish to stay on. The yearly salary range is about $50K to 60K (plus 26 days leave annually), but the OAG is definitely not a place for someone "looking for a vacation." The cash-strapped government has just given everyone 10% pay cuts, and has not been replacing normal attrition for quite a while, leaving more work for those left, resulting in more turn-over . . . .
So it's currently a great place for someone looking for challenges, and particularly a lot of trial experience, motion practice, regulation drafting, contract drafting and review, or whatever. Because of the opportunity to make a difference, the OAG usually gets some pretty highly qualified people -- who generally stay on for no more than four years. There seems to be a lack of institutional memory, which the private bar uses to its advantage.
Anyway, the AG is a pretty good guy, and if you want to PM me with any questions, and eventually e-mail me a resume, I'll be happy to forward it on to him.
It would seem the ideal candidates could range from hard-chargers fairly recently out of law school to possibly someone retired from other government service who still wants a few more years of grueling work but in a novel tropical environment. See, e.g., http://www.saipansucks.com
