? Sorry if this has been spoken on before. Can someone comment on the Hilton? I just booked as a back-up this Hotel. Awaiting reply from Nikko Hotel. Rate is 99 euros per night for our three night stay. Includes tax and service. Also breakfest buffet and one three course dinner during our stay. Not bad in my mind. What is distance to Nikko Hotel? Any other comments on Hilton appreciated. Thanks

Kathy - Jerrie and I will be arriving in dus by train from ams friday afternoon.
Also departing up the rhine monday morning.
Send me an email if you are interested in hooking up for parts of the trip.

RTWSTAR...
No need to worry about the Nikko. They are not very "communicative" but everything else went smoothly - this time and the DUS events before. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

We've decided it will be the Hilton for us. Great rate and HHonors benefits. I was contacted directly by a fellow FT and it sounds as if transportation is not a problem.
We will use UA paid for domestic and upgraded using our HK49s.

I did send a courtesy e-mail to Ms Ventz letting her know at this time we will not need reservations. FYI

KathyWdrf. If Magic and Jerry are going by train Friday from AMS, maybe we should try and hook up and make a group? Right NOW I am on the UA SYD-LAX-IAD-AMS arriving Thurs 7.35am in AMS, so a train Friday to DUS would be cool. Otherwise I might need to pay change fee to get a LH flight to DUS - if I can get seats that is. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Not leaving from AMS to IAD until following Wednesday so if anything is happening Monday count me in. I booked the Marriot Courtyard for 3 nights.

It's cool that others will be coming by train from Amsterdam on Friday. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

But at this point my plans are not firmed up yet as to my whereabouts in the three days prior to Duesseldorf. I will probably have this resolved within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned (and I will do likewise)....

Hi Bernie, Can you put me on the 'wait list' for Saturday's events: "Schloss Burg" and "Kirmiss"? In the worst case (if the wait list doesn't 'shake out') I'll definitely be there for the "Kirmiss" to meet up with some old friends...

ozstamps May 26, 2003 12:25 pm

Bernie .... please count me as 100% confirmed for all events at DUS - including whatever is on Sunday evening if you organise anything. Joh is visiting relatives in Holland after we arrive into AMS and will as you can see drive/train to DUS for Sat.

I was tempted to buy the $479 e-saver on US to AMS for the DUS event but I will keep my LH F award plans. I just got back from AMS tonight & look forward to going to the DUS event.

Not when you are yelling it at the top of your voice in our hotel room it is not.
