Local place sounds fine to me. Will be at Nikko at 8pm. RTW*Alliance, if I'm around when you 2 are ready to go to Nikko from Hilton, we can look for the public transportation or catch a cab together. Don't know yet if I'm going to be at hotel or will have already headed down to the Nikko area by then.

bernie-

Before I try and weasel a 'hall pass' from my wife for this event, do you still have enough space to accomodate me.

Also, is it OK to order fish (not shellfish) instead of meat at respective meals?

Be grateful for your response via direct email. Upon hearing from you, i'll try and turn around a final decision within 24 hours.

THANKS for your effort.

In case it wasn't clear from my post above, I want to emphasize that the cheap "World Travel" and "Lastminute" rates for the Four Points INCLUDE breakfast, tax, service, and minibar soft drinks!!! This is shown when you click on "rate details" on the Starwood website (unless there is a different version of the website in your part of the world?). I am NOT referring to the "Internet-only, fully-prepaid" rates!

The Starwood website still shows availability of these great rates for either July 18-21 or July 18-20; maybe for other time frames as well -- didn't check. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT about giving me some feedback on my email / post above.

I'm in urgent need of the exact number of pax attending the events and the question on veggie food as well. Though organizing events like this being part of my job, it is highly frustrating if half of the attendants aren't really cooperative.

I'll set a MONDAY deadline here b/c (my) money is getting "involved" as well.

grrrrr

I am sorry that I did not reply to your e-mail. I must have mistaken it for being a junk-mail.

The Topic-name "Two weeks to go" is quite similar to topics like;

"Get rich in 2 weeks"
"Get laid in 2 weeks"
"Loose weight in 2 weeks"
"Get Viagra home in 2 weeks - at 50% off"

the wording "Flyertalk" would DEFINATELY have gotten my attention.

Look forward to seeing all of you!!

Cheers,
Mads

That might readily explain some of the non responses Bernie?

I know most folks would be keen to fully update your data, as it then lets everyone see where everyone else is staying and arriving etc?

My email address has been "out there" for 7 years now and is on every spam list every sold. I still get at least 200 Spams a day despite a zillion Outlook "message rules" and often delete 50 emails a time by rapidly glancing at subject, and a key word like "Flyertalk" might be useful to consider adding if sending a final update email??

bernie, I sent you a mail with my plans. Sorry I have not been in touch!

KathyWdrf Jul 4, 2003 2:35 pm

Bernie, I e-mailed you my reply a short while ago.

But I forgot to mention what should be in the "by" column: ich fahre mit dem Zug (aus Brussel und nach Bacharach).

Thanks for all the replies I've got the last day. I just want to make sure, we won't have any no shows b/c that would increase the rate for everybody else after the Monday deadline.
There's still feedback missing from:
Auh20
B Watson + Mrs
chemist661
Essxjay
IO12609
LH738
Magic111 & Jerrie
ralfkrippner
Redhead
Smooth + friend

That's quite a lot to just leave "open". Maybe one of you is in contact with those guys and could remind them ?!

Bernie,

I replied to your email the day you sent it, wonder why you didn't get it http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Anyway, I am still coming and will attend the events on both Friday and Saturday. Sadly, my flight is early Sunday morning so no lunch that day for me.

Will also confirm again by mail.

Managed today to get Lufthansa biz class seats Tuesday 15th AMS-FRA-Istanbul and back to DUS just in time for Friday evening! Amazed there was any award inventory in July.

I'll see if I can bring back a tray of fresh Turkish Delight for the Friday evening. Anyone that needs a month old "antique" hand knotted silk rug fom the covered Bazaar please email me. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks Glen.
