As directed by Beckoa, the dates for the Alaska state fair were updated in the wiki to Sunday 9/6. Please take note of that to ensure it is consistent with you plans (I believe this has been mentioned up thread)

The places jackal mentions sells them in bulk (hint, hint) 4 packs. They have normal and student/senior options.

Perhaps beckoa can post prices.

Gee thanks. We didn't need any more people down here this week, even if it was for a good cause!

In all seriousness, I am in just for the BBQ portion - this DO was again not in the cards for me but I can take a run up to ANC to at least put some faces to names!

Keep forgetting we have FTers down there.

Had another run last night as family basically claimed all the fish from last week.

So we should have a few reds left for the 'cue.

I had looked into buying 12 of these books for the 24 of us who did the Kenai Fjords boat tour back on the Cabbage Do, but the "space is limited" factor came into play when I called them and they couldn't fit us all in on the coupon rate. So, we went with the other company that worked out to be cheaper with the group discount and had a great time.

$100 for 1 free night at the Grand Aleutian + 1 free seafood buffet is undoubtedly a great deal. Definitely worth looking into IMO - space and affect on the group rate would both be important considerations.
