Sorry for the late post, but the summer BBQ will be Saturday, July 30. The kitchen is finally done and work & travel are slowing down enough to finally this get together. Other than the BBQ, all time will be on your own to explore Alaska. I will leave it to Jackal to pick up and run with the Alaska DO 2017 (as he has now promised).

Post if you plan to attend. If there is enough interest, I will create a new thread.

Airport to my place and downtown to my place is @ $25 plus tip each way. Good insurance as the wine does tend to flow. However, you will be required to go through the training to be a certified "Wine Fetcher".

It's a very short course. If Beck can figure it out, anyone can

Hmmm, I am intrigued.

1) I have never been to Alaska
2) I have that weekend off
3) I am pretty certain I can pass the wine fetching course (I managed to accurately navigate via transit on a Japanese Costco run, so odds are good I can successfully find wine with adequate instructions)

I will keep an eye on this thread (and for a new one, just in case) and let you know!
