While talking about Japanese custom and etiquette, the following might be useful for those going on the post-do onsen trip and anyone interested in visiting an onsen in Japan.

7 Things You Need to Know Before Going to a Japanese Onsen Bath

How to take a bath?

How to enjoy hot springs?

I am also staying by Hakata and am happy to join the cheapskate brigade.

Sure. The plan is to catch the 10.46 rapid service from Hakata, departing from platform 6.

It's a 16mins ride, and then plus a 10-12 mins walk, we should get to Nishitetsu-Futsukaichi at the same time as the others get off their train from Tenjin.

I'm also staying next to Hakata at Crowne Plaza and would be happy to join in the group of the convenient and low-cost traveller. I also like walking from Futsukaichi to Nishitetsu Futsukaichi.

Suica or small change necessary for 'Tabito' train?

It should be ¥150 for the short ride on the Tabito. Suica is fine, although I suppose it's a perfect place to count out all the smaller coins that you wouldn't use otherwise.

Something fell through and my loss is the Do's gain.

Planning on doing the 3rd and 4th activities.

Probably Hilton.

It will be good to see friends I've not encountered for
up to several years.

I'm assuming the dinner has expanded beyond its original dimensions?
If so, I'm interested.

Done!

You might want to edit the Eventbrite description, which says that
there's a limit of 20 pax.

If arriving early into FUK (12:30 PM) on Thursday April 2, is there a good use of the 3 day Northern Kyushu Rail Pass? Something that would get us back in time for welcome drinks of course

Just registered for the dinner (+1)

For those who never been to Fukuoka, would you rather recommend exploring Fukuoka or Dazaifu?
