Looks like I will be there. I need to be in that part of the world anyway. Arriving Thursday. Probably need to leave Saturday, early unfortunately. Can't stay for the whole thing.
Caveat : I will be seriously jet lagged. Coming from HNL!!!. Via EK, by way of west coast
I'm at the one of the Hyatt's.
- Do we have an idea / program of activities?

Actually surprised how much C and F availability there was on *A for two people. Made it really easy to put something together.
Although, question for the return: The OP says returning anytime on Monday should be fine - I'm currently booked on the 1:45am LH departure on Monday morning. Should I look to push that out to Tuesday or will most of the "official" activities be wrapped up on Sunday evening?
Really looking forward to this!

Westbound flights leave early!
But I have the same question as huasrath: should we schedule to leave on Monday morning (in the middle of the night) or Tuesday morning (in the middle of the night)? Need to know as award tix are going to be tough for this one!

You are welcome to arrive whenever you can. Officially the DO kicks off Friday and ends Sunday.
We will have a range of social activities planned for the Fri and Sat and have set aside the Sunday to do something airline related - most probably with EK. Details to come.
Attendance at any of the "events" is entirely up to you. DO's are laid back, social events, and most of the "bonding" is done over meals and drinks (funny how that happens)
I am acutely aware that many of you are traveling great distances to attend and that DXB is certainly not the cheapest town in terms of hotels etc. If anyone wants/needs corporate rate codes for the major chains, let me know.
You can also arrive anytime Fri - it wont matter a bit.
Please PM me with any issues/queries. We will be updating the agenda a little closer to the event.
I may in fact, simply prop the bar up the entire weekend
