Given that this is the DXB DO, I'd imagine a lot of people would be flying in on EK (no?)
Anyway, for those unfamiliar with the fares etc, keep in mind that it's oftentimes quite expensive flying into DXB, and much better value if you add on a leg to anywhere (Middle East, S Asia, SE Asia) depending on the extra time and money you have. And on how many additional tier miles you want.

Ooh, just saw this thread. Count me in as interested (need to check flight availability). I have been looking for something fun to do for my birthday (6/27) and this would definitely fill the bill.

Hotels can be ridiculously cheap at this time of year in Dubai. We even got a night at Burj-al-Arab for about 400 a few years ago.
A 'standard' 5 star hotel will be between 50-100.
Those prices will treble at least in the high season.
