Used a 5/15 mailer yesterday , and after a brief put on hold call was approved after second hold .

First time I was not asked for income or address verification in approx 10 months .

Weird as I used the same type of mailer that my wife did. I completed the additional spend and will report back in a couple of weeks when my statement dates comes around. The good news is that it was most likely my issue.

I got a few mailers and had the same thing happened. The first couple were 65K/$2K so I assumed that's what they all were. But I used one that was 65K/$4K and fortunately read the mailer with card details when it came.

Anyone know what time of day mailers expire? I’m going to be cutting it real close..

I have a mailer with a 5/15 expiration date and my 2nd to last application was on 5/14. 7/14 would put me at 61 days after my last application, but also 60 days after the printed expiration date on the mailer.

Second the answers of others: Your 5/15 code will fail on 7/15, likely at midnight Central. Use it tomorrow. If you're hit with a system denial you can still recon after moving beyond the 60 days.

In the meantime I went back and checked the mailer that I used and indeed it did have the $4k on there. At this point it is confirmed: user error... :)

Used a 5/15 mailer today, was able to submit application. However, got a denial for the first time with the message below:

Unfortunately, we were not able to approve your application.
You will receive written notification with details regarding our decision in approximately 7-10 days.

Not even sure should I call on Monday and attempt a recon? Thought?

Previous applications were 03/13/19 and 06/05/19. Therefore the 8/65 days "rules" have not been violated, but may be for the first time I am subj to the 33 days "rule" that does not affect everyone (did not affect me in the past.) :(

On top of that, I only have gotten 9 or 10 AA cards in an 18 months stretch since Jan 2018, plus an IHG and an AMEX Gold on targeted offer.

Unlike others who do the 33 days reiteration, I have multi-months hiatus in the stretch when we took long trips out of the country. So there are gaps of 2 to 3 months in the 18 months stretch there has been no AA application - just like the latest - 03/13/19 and 06/05/19 - over 6 weeks gap in between.

Such a bummer not getting the last possible bonus. :(

I would wait and see what the letter says before you call, even if you call now they probably will tell you to wait for the letter, may be its something you can clear over the phone.

Are you reading the same Reddit report that was mentioned then, or do you know someone who received one?

a user on reddit had 5 personal mailers with a 7/15 exp date that he was selling...just yesterday.

I suspect this is the case though I am a bit surprised by this based on past 6 months app records -

01/08/19 but required code by mail, approved 01/14/19
02/15/19, called to get approved same day
03/13/19 ditto
06/05/19 ditto
07/13/19 instant denial.
The denial is 5th app the past 6 months, with a gap of 6 weeks between No.3 and No.4 cards.

I actually was thinking about TYP cards for some transfer partners before Citi stripped all the useful benefits. LOL

its the implied 7/15 expiration date, not the actual expiration date printed on the mailer. I inquired directly and that was the case.

Sheesh, those Reddit goobers need to step up their game.

In other news, has anyone here gotten the MileUp or Citi Exec Card after mailers have slowed down recently? Just curious if it's as smooth (assuming you don't MAC yourself, or run out of available credit) getting those cards as all the Citi cards. Guessing it would have to be.

I was declined on Friday with same language, no rules were broken as I didn't apply for any cards in more than 6 months due to a house purchase. Will wait for letter!

Does anyone here have any experience with Citi Premier card Mailers, i have a mailer with 12 digit code, i am not sure if this is similar to the personal mailers rules of the 12 digit codes or not.
