4th night free on only first room?
Has anyone tried to book 2 rooms (same check-in/check-out date) with the 4th night free benefit? I just got off the phone with the Citi Concierge and was told that if 2 rooms are needed, then only the 4th night on 1 of the rooms would be reimbursed. Has that been the experience of others who have used this benefit? Is it possible to just turn around and book another reservation for the second room for 4 nights?

Can't find anything about it on here, but can you use rates from Mastercard Travel Services (which I believe is the name of the people the concierge connects with) for the 4th night free benefit? travel.mastercard.com ?
The person the concierge connected me with tried to say she had never even heard of this site, let alone used it for rates.. which seems odd since I though they were Mastercard Travel Service representatives?

It's been a week since I received the email confirmation and still no pending charge for me either... it's too late to get the TY points this statement, but I'm still concerned about the status of the reservation: I don't want to show up at the hotel and being told there's no room for me

First attempt at using 4th night benefit - and not going smoothly
I've had the Citi Prestige card for about a month. So far, not so good.
I called Sunday night and requested a rate for dates at a certain hotel in September in London. On Monday night I received rates back, via email. The rate quoted was $579 higher than the best available rate, so the $440 I would get refunded to me for the last night was obviously not very enticing. I responded via email Monday night asking for a match to the hotel website's rate but I received no response. Tuesday afternoon I called the Citi Concierge, who told me that she was unable to reach a travel specialist and call me back, but she didn't. Tuesday evening I called the Citi Concierge again, and this representative was able to get a travel specialist to join our call. The travel specialist told me that she couldn't verify the rate on the hotel's website because her "internet is really slow today," but she did offer me a lower rate than I had been offered the previous night, but still $200 more than the best available rate on the hotel's website. Frustrated, I accepted. Later on Tuesday, when I received the confirmation, it noted only one rate, which was higher than that quoted, and which did not fluctuate each day (which is important here, since the last day, which should be refunded, was supposed to have been the most expensive, per the travel consultant). I've called back again, and the travel consultant this time is going to call the hotel once it opens in the morning to see if the hotel will allow a travel agent to book it's best rates; otherwise she will not give that rate to me.
The value of this benefit certainly seems questionable at this point.

From what I've experienced, they usually take 2 days to respond to anything. If you're in a hurry to book it definitely won't work well for you... it took me a week to book my trip whereas it would've taken minutes had I done like I usually do (compare hotels, compare prices, book directly).
I would also suggest asking for quotes from several hotels in case they can't give you good rates for a specific hotel. For an upcoming trip of mine I asked for 4 quotes: 2 of them matched the rate on the hotel website, the 3rd also did but there was a TripAdvisor coupon for 10% off that they couldn't match, and the 4th hotel they simply couldn't book it. So 50% success rate.
Overall it certainly is a hassle, but the rewards can quickly add up. As far as I'm concerned, as long as you're not in a hurry and are flexible as to which hotel you want to stay in, it's a great benefit to have.

Can confirm. I've received all advertised Mastercard World Elite benefits along with the 4th Night free benefit. The booked rate has generally been equivalent to the BAR at the time.

You need two things to fully take advantage of this benefit: time and flexibility.

Just wonder if anyone stayed in a Marriott Hotel using this benefit and got Marriott points and night stays?
I had no problem earning SPG points/night/stay and all Platinum benefits were applied. No sure if Marriott works the same
Thanks

I just booked the Hyatt Zilara Cancun using the Citi 4th Night Free. The rate I was quoted was equivalent to the rate listed on hyatt.com. The process was very smooth. I emailed Citi Prestige concierge directly, verses calling for a quote, and got a reply in less than 24 hours. I then replied to the email stating I wanted to confirm the booking, and received a phone call 10 minutes later from an agent who conferenced in CWT, and then confirmed the booking. Shortly there after, I received an email confirming the booking and confirming I would receive a credit for the 4th night- $438.00!

I believe with Marriott you do get points / qualifying nights, but I have not yet used this with a Marriott as I have not had a 4-night stay at once in a couple years.
