was the FA just on a power trip? had the OP been drinking? was he a general jerk throughout the flight? we really have no context aside from the OP's story, which I would take with a few grains of salt.
With all the comments berating the OP (and I think I was more than fair in my first post about this), I find it more and more difficult to accept that the FA felt he/she had no other choice. I work in IT, and I can't stand the idiocy of the average user because they cause 60% of the problems that we have to resolve. But it doesn't mean we berate them, or call the authorities. It's a part of the business, and part of the profession we chose. If the FA has problems dealing with the reactions from understandably frustrated and pissed off pax in todays air travel climate, then it's high time he/she found a new profession. If it means that ticket prices increase to allow the airlines to expand their gates and reduce the frequent delays, fine. But give us, as the paying customers, more than just the sh!t we've had to endure recently. |

No I didn't, for if I had thought it was about me then I would have used the word I. Instead, I made it about YOU and YOUR opinions by using the word "people". The English language - you should try it some time.
So, like I said, you are clearly someone for whom form is more important than function. You immediately judge books by their covers, so to speak, and look down on people who you don't measure up to those standards. Now where I am from people who are concerned with things like that are usually attempting to mask their own shortcomings. In other words, it's the Dilbert-like managers who worry about those sorts of things and they are, generally, much less intelligent than the people they manage. If a person likes to dress nice for whatever reason then great. If they don't then that's fine too. But if you're going to be judging people by their clothes and saying that we all should as well...then prepare to be judged. |

I hope she gets a years free travel out of it. I am gay, but I will take her as she was dressed over the "butt cracks" and "rotten toenails" that I seem to see everytime I fly. :td: What was it someone once said? "Lord, save me from your followers." "Give me a break." ( Jon Stossel ) |

Swearing should always be legal, it allows you to know what kind of person your dealing with.
A civilized person, or an ........ :D |
When confronted with excessive time on the tarmac with no gate assignment in sight, I like the ever popular phrase, "Excuse me FA I have a slight pressure in my chest and my left arm feels funny." To guarantee an even faster gate assignment, "Could you help me open this bottle and place a pill under my tongue." :D

Faking a medical emergency onboard an aircraft - another way to get the authorities involved.... ^ |

it also lends itself quite nicely to the possibility that the OP was not as calm as he purports. the reality likely falls somewhere in the middle, ie, that the FA did exaggerate and that the OP was more belligerent than he is letting on. the OP was clearly at fault for getting on the FA for something over which she had absolutely no control (remember that next time, OP). the FA was probably also at fault for the possibly unwarranted escalation.

Ah, the good ole days, when everyone knew their place, blacks, sorry coloreds in the back of the bus, women, errr broads could be secretaries, nurses, FAs or teachers and had the pleasure of making--what was it--30 cents to a man's dollar? Oh it was grand when no Irish needed to apply, or before Italians and other Southern Europeans were considered "white". |
No replies from the OP? Perhaps this was a wind-up?

In the late spring of this year I was delayed at Dca on AA from about 9 p.m. until midnight because of a freezing drizzle. During this three hours we could watch automobile traffic whizzing by on the GW Parkway that runs past the airport. We could not get a gate because departing aircraft could not push back in freezing drizzle.
It was painful and frustrating as all of my public transport options disappeared for the night as we waited. In these circumstances airline pax have to become somewhat "Japanese" in order to survive the tense, cramped conditions in the aircraft cabin. |
Complain to the CS for delays, not the FA. I hope the OP learned his lesson.
