Sapphire Reserve Annual Travel Credit

How are the dates calculated?
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.

For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.

But my 2nd annual fee is after May 21, 2017, why didn't my travel credit reset?
Because if you got your card before that date, your travel credit will continue to reset after your December statement.

Does the travel credit count as minimum spend?
Spend is spend, the credit is the credit. The $300 reimbursement is a separate item from spending requirements( the $300 reimbursement on travel, $100 Goes all count towards the $4,000 only the $450 yearly fee doesn't). You must spend $4000 for your signup bonus UR points. If part of that spend is categorized as travel, a credit will post to your account accordingly. They are separate items.

Even if you return a purchase after you've met your $4000 initial spend it will not count against your spend.

Can I get two travel credit fees if I apply in the middle of the year?
Not for applications after May 21, 2017.

So no more double-dipping within one calendar year.
Feb 2017 -- got card and have earned my $300 credit.
Jan 2018 -- plan to qualify for a 2nd $300 credit.
Feb 2018 -- renew
Jan 2019 -- qualify for 3rd $300 credit.
Feb 2019 -- cancel card
Pay $900 and get $900, therefore a free card for 2 years. Is this a correct assumption?

You calculation appears correct because:

For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year.
It would be different if you had applied later in the year.

According to Wiki:
For cards issued prior to May 21, 2017 it was Reimbursed per Calendar year, not membership year. Purchases must be posted (not pending) by your December statement (dated any time Dec 1 through Dec 31) to be credited against current year's $300 credit. Any travel spend that posts after the December statement will credit against the next year's $300 credit.

For cards issued after May 21, 2017, it will be reimbursed by membership year.

My card was issued in 2016 and got 2x$300 travel credit credit already. Since it passes May 21, 2017 already, how the travel credit of my CSR is reimbursed right now? Still follow calendar year or change to membership year?

If you mean successfully submitting a lodging expense to an employer for a booking made through Rocket Miles, I've done it several times. My receipts did not have Rocket Miles printed on them anywhere.

In the context of this thread, I understand the question is whether or not a Rocketmiles booking triggers the $300 travel credit.

Yes, the question is whether rocket miles posts as a travel charge eligible for the $300 annual travel credit and for 3x point on the CSR.

I've also had my employer reimburse me already, but not on a Chase card so I can't see how they code. The receipts are well laid out and have not mention of rocketmiles. I guess they know they have business customers they want to maintain.

A parking meter for on-street parking in Minneapolis earned 3X points, as did a public parking garage at Saint Paul Union Depot. I assume these would be eligible for the $300 travel credit, but since mine is long gone, I don't know for sure. I did add these to the wiki.

I was hoping they would update the travel credit terms for old cards, but I haven't gotten a notice yet. I guess the scam was too obvious.

1 credit August-December 16
1 credit January-August 17
1 credit August 17
Cancel before early October (30 days after statement with fee hits).

It also ruins my plan:
CSP May 2017
Convert to CSR and collect two travel bonuses May2018-2019 (-$150 in fees)
Convert to CSP for May 2019-May2020 (-$55 net in fees)
Convert to CSR and collect two travel bonuses May 2020-May 2021 (-$205 in fees)
.
.
.

Just updated the Wiki to be clear that you can not double dip the travel credit for applications made after May 21, 2017.

Why would you do that? The change ended the triple-dip. The double-dip is alive and well, you just have less time to do it.

Any DP on vacation packages (hotel + tickets) purchased from Disney or other Disney authorized vacation planners? I see that people using park savers and undercover tourists are in good shape, but I already booked with another agent.

I was planning on funding my Disney Vacation Account to get the additional $300 credit after my December statement wraps up early in the month, but they just ended the DVA program. (Which is such a bummer, the DVA was such a quick and easy way to get the $300 credit!)

I'll tell my agent I want to make a small payment on the package to see what the coding is, and will report back, but I'm curious to see what others have found.
