What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.

Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).
What are the best current Ink Plus offers?

The Ink Plus card is no longer available for new applicants. There is a separate thread for The Ink Business Preferred card.

Links for non-targeted Ink Plus 60K offer ($5,000 spend/3 months; annual $95 fee not waived)
There is a report of a 70k offer for the Chase Ink Plus available only through your local Chase Bank office, extended to August 20, 2016. If you recently accepted the 60K offer, you may be able to get the extra 10K simply by asking for it.

There is a no-fee, UR-earning Ink Cash card: https://creditcards.chase.com/ink-bu.../ink-cash-card
Are there are any rules or restrictions to keep in mind when applying for an Ink card?

How can I determine the deadline for meeting the spend requirement to earn the signup bonus?
Once I meet the card's spend requirement, how soon will I receive my signup bonus points?
After being denied, how long should I wait before applying again for the same card?
How long should I wait after closing my card before applying again for the same card?

Are there special earning categories?
Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)

In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.

NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

Where can I find the Ink Plus Guide to Benefits?
What are the rules for transferring UR points to other users or to my own air/hotel/rail accounts?
Closing Ink Plus cards
It is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

I fall under 5/24 on March 10th...maybe will try call after as I will still be under 30 day reconsideration time line. My understanding is credit bureaus dont get updated till next calendar month, does anyone have any data points suggesting them getting approved couple of days after they fall under 5/24.
One question, if you are 5/24 on personal cc's, they won't give you a business cc either, right?

Question ExpertFlyer.com?

Wondering if expertflyer.com's annual fee qualifies for the 5x points.

Correct unless you're pre-approved for one.

Spouse opened an Ink Plus in October 2016 with me as an AU/Employee. Acct was setup with auto-pay.

My card had a fraudulent charge of $6k in January. Called Chase and they cancelled/reissued the card and issued a temp credit. Also contacted the merchant who investigated and issued a credit as well. So we're sitting with an extra $6k credit.

In the meantime, the payment was due and, due to the credits, they pulled no payment.

Waited a few weeks and we still had the duplicate credit and a large credit balance. Before the stmt closed for the next month, we called Chase and told/reminded them that the matter was settled and they should remove their temp credit.

They removed the temp credit, leaving me with the correct balance due. While we were waiting for the pmt due date, Chase posted ANOTHER credit, then reversed it the next day. But since they apply any credit immediately, we had another month with no payment pulled.

We now have 3 months of accumulated (correct) purchases due.

Now we get a letter from Chase advising that for the past 2 months, we have "avoided" payments due to merchant credits and if there's a 3rd month, they'll close the account.

Anything we can/should do? Call and be angry? Do nothing? Something else?

While that mess up is Chase fault, I were you I would have gone to the branch when the duplicate credit stayed thus artificially preventing the auto pay. I would talk to my business banker and get that squared away prompto so not to create an impression that I was using merchant credit to evade payment obligation.

This kind of stuff is better to sit down and go over with your business banker than calling, let along ignoring it.

I applied and approved for CSR (got $35k limit) at end of January, applied and approved for CFU ($30k limit) last week (3/2). Today, called to reduce credit limit on CFU to $20k.

Applied in-branch for Ink Cash (as a sole proprietor) today, 3/9, got the 7-10 day notice at the branch, but rep told me he'd try to call tomorrow or Monday to let me know of an update. Credit score is about 800-820. The automated status line says 7-10. Looks like a denial. Oh well.

Why would you want to reduce your credit limit by 10k? I don't get it

In this case it was to essentially return the credit line to the bank so OP could apply for a new card in hopes they would regrant him the previously offered CL. It helps potentially mitigate a denial if you have a lot of CL outstanding and the bank is not willing to extend additional.

I see. 65k does seem to be around their comfort zone. Mine is around that and I had to move some for reserve approval. I'd rather offer to move credit during my immediate call after application tho

Charges at Cricket Wireless Store

Data point, paid 1st month of wireless plan and activation fee at cricket wireless store, the charge did not get 5% UR. CSR's explanation is charges at the stored does not qualify for 5x UR.

Any data points out there that support the notion that Chase frowns on (to the point of shutting accounts down) overusage of the 5x multiplier for gift cards whether they are VGCs or legit GC purchases for other stores?
