App'd on 4/15. I had to call in to verify my address and was instantly approved. I used the link in the first post. I will update if I get the 80k.

Just for the record. I know this is an old query and I just found out the answer the hard way. I did not earn 5x on the 60k points I bought as part of cash + points award booking with the PC Visa. The fine print says 5x for staying at priority club hotels. I had no idea that buying points for a stay didn't count. I would have been much better off using CSP or Ink.

I plan on buying enough points to book an additional night with the annual free night. When DW gets this card it will be 3 consecutive nights. I find it a hassle to change hotels every day on vacation.

Just a data point. Applied on 4/15/13 using the link on the frontpage and was instantly approved (741 CS Fako). Received the card yesterday and the CSR confirmed $1k spend in 3 months to receive 80k points.

You got the card delivered to you in 2-days? That's pretty good, I think it took them a week or two for mine (also instantly approved).

Yeah, I guess US Bank is speeding things up on their end. Mine took ~10 days from approval back in February 2013.

Chase is the issuing bank on the PC Visa.

Just a data point. Got the card some months ago through the regular 60k points link and then sent a secure message to Chase asking to upped to 80k, and they did it. Chase normally match better offers (even newer ones) if you ask with three months from the application

I would love to know this myself. I already have the PC card but wouldn't it be nice to get another bonus for the IHG card, if there is going to be such a thing. Do we even know if that's the case?

I doubt there is going to be a new card. They only changed the name of their program. Nothing else has really changed about IHG. Why would Chase spend money marketing a new card?

That said, I would love to get a second card if they do release one. 2 nights at IHG properties for possibly $49 x2. Sign me up.^

Was denied for this card. Too many recent inquiries and too many cards with chase recently. Was too lazy to call recon.

So 80,000 points are not worth a 10 min call to you? Your hourly rate must be staggeringly high for you not to bother.

I couldn't agree more. That's 2 nights, plus $140, at an amazing hotel in Bora Bora (as an example). Yikes.

Ya I don't get why someone after applying would not want to make a phone call to try to at least get it since they already had a pull.

Anyway my final of 3 CC got approved tonight. Auto thank god was worried since this was my 3rd 1 tonight + I have 3 Chase CC already. But been all most a year since my last Chase app so I figured I was going to be fine. Hopefully it will be the 80K not 60K used the link given for 80K.

My wife is having an issue after applying with the link on page1 and using this card. She applied in Jan and put around $500 on the card. After checking today and not seeing the 80k points come in, she called chase and was told that the terms was to spend $1,000 on the card to get the 80k points and NOT on 1st purchase. The time period to put the $1,000 on the card has passed as well.

We are pretty careful when applying (clearing cookies beforehand and clicking on the right link). Has anyone ran into this before? I'm not sure what to do at this point except for maybe calling or writing to the chase executive office
