Great value card even after devaluation. Stayed in Crown Plaza - The City (London)past week. Just access to lounge is well worth it.

Had mine back in 2007, canceled in 2008. Thinking about giving it another run. Maybe leave PC number blank. Tried that with 100k BA after a year (or maybe two) but no dice....#tempting

I've read of folks having success getting the bonus again when the interval between cards was long. No guarantees of course, but Chase probably won't look back five years.

You met your spend too close to the statement closing date. The points would have posted if you had met the spend 7-10 days before closing date. This is common for Chase bonus.

Thanks umc. Guess I'll be on lookout for the points in my next statement.

Any updates or reports on success/failure under those circumstances?

Same situation here with 2007-8 card - tempted to try again next month...
Would prefer to use my acct # since i need 10% point back benefit for summer travel.

I canceled my Priority Club card in January 2011; reapplied in November 2012; received the bonus again. (If anyone has applied/will apply again, please report back what success you had for the benefit of others. My case may well not be typical.)

Regarding Chase looking back in their records, this is odd: I wanted to know what type of Sapphire card (Visa or M/C) I had had (I canceled it about a year ago and plan to apply for the other version - i.e., if I had had a Visa I'll then apply for the M/C version next time). I called Chase to inquire about this and was told that they had no record of my having had any Sapphire card.

Did you use the same Priority Club account for both cards, and did you receive the exact same bonuses (e.g. 80000 points and 80000 points) each time you got the card?

Update to the original post since people are interested in this data point-

My sister did get the bonus 80K points again....

ETA- Same PC # used in both apps.

Yes, same Priority Club account number. As for the bonuses, I believe one of the times the current offer was for just 60 or 70K - but all the terms were otherwise the same.

Question: does the 10% reward rebate apply for Cash&Point redemptions?

For example, at a 15,000 points hotel you have the option to do 5,000 points + $70. This transaction appears as buying 10,000 points and redeeming 15,000 points.

In this example will I get back 1,500 points, 500 points, or nothing?

Can anyone remind me if the card needs to be activated prior to making a reservation or just prior to stay in order to qualify for rebate?
