In the T&C, it specifically says you have to use a Chase card.

There was 100% a 4x bonus last month. They said the same thing to me. They are completely out of their minds. They got very nasty with me. You need to call them and DEMAND that they give you your 4x points.
"As per the offer you were to receive 3 points for the purchase made from Sears.com. That's funny, the previous customer service rep said there wasn't a promotion last month. Upon review, I noticed that, your transaction from Sears.com was not processed from our Ultimate Website. However, I did go through their website. (blah blah blah) As a gesture of commitment to you, I have added 3,459 points to your account." Well I know it should have been 4x but really am happy with 3x. |

No it does not. The site suggests that you pay with your Chase card, but Chase collects a commission from the merchant for every transaction without regard to method of payment and they will credit you for the purchase if you are persistent.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/credi...d-ur-mall.html I also know someone at work working the Staples FAR to hit min spend on other cards outside of Chase issued ones and its been working without issue as well. |
I tried to use the price protection benefit today by providing Chase a coupon that specifies that everything in the store is 25% off and I just purchased my item a couple of days ago. Chase turned it down by saying that the item must be specifically advertised and a general % off doesn't apply.

I actually had a terrible time with and on shore rep about my Sears purchase. She outright called me a liar. I even had a SM from Chase confirming my UR click through. In the end I asked for 400 points and she gave me 1100+ points?! Totally confusing. None of my recent UR purchases posted automatically.
I made a purchase at Eddie Bauer via the UR Mall and didn't get any bonus points. I told the rep that it was 6x and he said he would take a look. Of course by the time I called (after waiting several weeks per their instructions) it was now 4x. I was looking right at 4x and would have been happy with that. Instead, the rep says he sees no bonus points available and gave me an additional 1x points. What a joke. I'm going to notate more details the next time I make a purchase through the UR Mall. |

My last experience calling Chase about missing points was bad. It was also on shore.

Sorry if I missed the discussion above, but I'd appreciate some advise about how exactly the online program is suppose to work when we click through to a travel provider (i.e. a car rental company, a hotel company etc.) where all we're doing is making a reservation for a future rental/stay? How exactly are they suppose to be able to post points in 3 - 5 business days if the purchase is perhaps weeks/months in the future? Is there a mechanism in place by which they monitor whether the reservation gets used, and payment is eventually made? If not, is the program ultra-dependent on the user having to contact CS each time a future reservation is fulfilled and paid for?
TIA for pointing out where this process is explained in great FT detail.:D |

Posting of Rewards. The bonus rewards may take up to two billing cycles to appear on the "My Rewards Activity" page on the Ultimate Rewards website. However, the posting of bonus rewards may take longer than two billing cycles to post depending on a Merchant's policies, for example, many travel-related Merchants will not post rewards until after travel has commenced. Bonus rewards earned through the Ultimate Rewards Mall do not count toward any rewards earnings caps, if applicable. |

Did you go through the mall properly? Have the charges come up on your card as Westin charges? |

If someone from Chase is lurking here and reading this thread, here's a suggestion for you.
I love my Chase cards (between my wife and I, we've got Sapphire and Ink Bold and Freedom) and am using them frequently. Chase has created a strong incentive for me to use these cards and also shop via the Ultimate Rewards mall. But it is very difficult for me to keep track of how many U.R. points are due to me for clicking through the U.R. mall to other merchants. I'd love to have some feature that would help me keep track of how many points are due to me so that I could verify that the points are posting correctly. Could the U.R. mall have a page that keeps a history of when you clicked through and completed a transaction? And, even better, could it then show the user when the points were actually posted for the transactions? That would be a tremendous enhancement. (One would think that Chase has this data somewhere - otherwise, how would they be able to track points that need to be credited.) |
