Quick question, not sure if any of you have experience with this:

I had been making purchases from Barnes and Noble when they had the 10x bonus going. With B&N now gone, I've been looking at Textbooks.com with their 6x bonus. Does anyone know if their "marketplace" sellers post properly? I don't see anything in the T&C that specifically limit them, but does anyone have any experience with this?

Just a heads up. There was a promotion on the Sapphire Preferred that ended June 30 that you would earn 6x UR points per dollar spent on booking a cruise.

My wife and I were planning a European riverboat cruise. This made it quite attractive to book via the Ultimate Rewards travel service. This was a large charge, and I was to receive the usual 2x awards for the travel booking plus an additional 4x rewards about 6 weeks after the end of the promo.

When I received my most recent credit card statement, however, the charge for the cruise only gave me 1x point per dollar. I phoned the SP customer service line and learned that the charge had coded incorrectly so that it did not appear to be a travel purchase. The rep took care of getting me the double points. (I'm expecting the remaining 4x bonus in a few weeks.)

So heads up, and keep your eye on your monthly statement if you took advantage of that promo.

Bought GC from Sears August 2nd for the 10 x bonus. How long before points show up?

Also, bought Groupon on July 31 and August 2nd. It hasn't shown up yet. Usually it take 2 or 3 days maximum.

None of my recent sears purchases have shown up automatically!

My sears purchases from aug 2 posted to UR yesterday. No email yet, but points are there.

I had an $1100 Sear purchase through UR mall on July 15 & no points posted yet. I don't think it was 10x bonus then but either 2 or 4x. Should I be concerned? Someplace on the UR website said to wait 4-6 weeks (or maybe it was longer). Can I email or PM them or need I call? Who do I contact? (Does UR have a customer service dept. or do I call Chase Sapphire Preferred?)

Lately, the UR Mall has been flaky for me. I just send a Secure Message and I have always been manually credited. ^ to Chase CS.

It was 4x points. Yes you should be concerned. Contact them.

I really thought I saw bonus points at sears.com. Didn't do screen shots either. Lesson learned. :mad:

I opened the Chase Sapphire Preferred account in Feb 2012. If I keep the account open Feb 2013, pay the annual fee, will I get the 7% dividend as advertised when I opened my account? I'm not sure if I did screen shots. I'm a newbie so still trying to learn as much as I can. Just debating now if I want to keep the card after January 2013.

There was 100% a 4x bonus last month. They said the same thing to me. They are completely out of their minds. They got very nasty with me. You need to call them and DEMAND that they give you your 4x points.

They tried to pull this crap with me as well. Send them another e-mail with a link to HikerT's website. If that doesn't work call the 800 number. You probably got some offshore drone. I've been disappointed with the offshore service with Chase lately. The onshore folks always come through for me.

I actually had a terrible time with and on shore rep about my Sears purchase. She outright called me a liar. I even had a SM from Chase confirming my UR click through. In the end I asked for 400 points and she gave me 1100+ points?! Totally confusing. None of my recent UR purchases posted automatically.

Did you use a Chase card? In the T&C, it specifically says you have to use a Chase card. Sometimes you'll get points automatically when you use a non-Chase card. But if it does not go thru and a CSR is involved and sees you did not use a Chase card, you won't get the points. Multiple ppl reported this happening esp w/high spend amts.

You may have gotten some courtesy points if you used a non-eligible card.
