indeed. so many new frequencies to regional places and mid haul destinations. almost all asia routes that were non daily last summer are now daily or even higher, and more and more underserved destinations keep getting added, like most smaller cities in japan, taiwan, mainland china, philipines, and SE asia. its very fun hearing new frequency increases or additions every 2 weeks from either CX or UO.

in the long haul side, so many places are getting more flights, even RUH. so the massive service expansion makes a lot of sense, and i think more interesting, nontraditional destinations that most people here imagine (like CMN, BHX etc.) could be added in the future given CX has a very complete network now to most big markets.

Starting from March 30th, CX is adding one more frequency to PVG, making it a total of eight frequencies on the route.

CX302 HKG-PVG 2105-2355
CX303 PVG-HKG 0720-1010

Moreover, starting from April 13th, CX is adding one more frequency to HGH, making it a total of four frequencies on the route (third highest in China, after PEK and PVG).

CX964 HKG-HGH 2010-2235
CX965 HGH-HKG 0800-1040

this is good.
But still well behind precovid when there were 14 to 17 flights a day to Shanghai across the 2 airports.

Demand isn't recovering, very often the 777-300s they send to PVG are half full at best.

There will be an additional daily rotation to KIX next season, departing HKG 120pm and returning ex-KIX 735pm.

The NGO overnight rotation is also going daily.

There is also a new PEK daily rotation ex-HKG 3pm and ex-PEK 740pm.

Instead of increasing flights/frequencies, I would rather they properly staff existing flights and properly train the new cabin crew.

The late-night departure from PEK is very welcome!

I know it's not quite possible but I do hope CX brings back RMQ and OKA instead of UO
I miss the days when KA were flying them

So as some evening departures to TPE between 402 and 408

The lack of eveing departures to TPE, in my view, is due to the shoratge of overnight parking stands in TPE. Hopefully the development of TPE T3 could ease that but there could be more delay of construction work.

This is my understanding, too. I also miss 463 and 465 (the 6am and 7am TPE-HKG), as well as the TPE-ICN-TPE 5th freedom flights.

PUS and MLE would both be nice too.

Just on a side note, TPE is notable for not just delays in construction, but also ridiculous designs, including terminals with bridges on only one side, leading to limited gate capacity (this ridiculous design is still adopted for T3) & decisions, such as all CI, Eva &JX share tye upcoming T3 (wasting lounge and ground resources). Also factoring in the uniqueness of having local 3 FSCs (JX is also rapidly expanding and trying to station more aircrafts at TPE), it's better not to expect anything to change for the better.

Another one to return is DVO. I have often wondered why CX did not use CX 913 and 976 with a large aircraft (A330 or even B-777) to connect there in the middle of the night. Currently the frame only sits on the ground in MNL. Although the PAX loads to from DVO are probably small there is tremendous scope for exports of tropical fruit and seafood. If this arrived in HKG mid morning it could be forwarded to Northeast Asia and London same day in addition to being distributed throughout Hong Kong and the cost of sitting on the ground eliminated to offset the cost of flying.
