Basically economy class quality and quantity meals being plated in china was served. Both the quality and quantity are below par, considered the amount that I paid for this roundtrip J ticket to and from Taipei. Croissant was the only choice of bread and the purser did not come around with preserves after the meal was served 20 minutes ago. There was no additional breads offered. I think a bread basket with at least three choices of breads should be offered. China Airlines and EVA Airways offered a superior meal in terms of both quantity and quality on the same route.
You don't get a proper meal in economy between HKG and TPE on CX these days.

Louise's lamb was exceptionally good. As a person who dislikes lamb, I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. There was no gamey flavour that I hate, and it was really tender with the appropriate amount of fat. So far Louise's collaboration has been much more promising than Duddells'.

I noticed on the last two flights that the Jing tea served on board in business class is a different (I might add worse) variety than the one they serve in the lounge. Was this always the case?

could they bring back the Oriental breeze? hated it when I was like 10 (6 years ago) but would love to try it again now that my tastes are diff and people have high regards for it.

The aircraft parks at KIX for 4 hours before heading back to HKG as 561/595. Maybe that's why double catering is not feasible.

Saw a photo of a ex-HKG long haul flight menu in a FB group, apart from Louise, there is also a new dish from Duddell's this month. Seems CX's collaboration with Duddell's has been extended for another year.
