I was asking what the dollar caps are, not being agile at converting. Thank you.

That will be $3333.33 per week and $23333.33 overall (if you do not spend in Broadway).

If you do all your spending in Broadway, that will be $2500 per week and $17500 overall.

Only transactions of $500 or above count, btw.

Edit: Sorry, my bad. The cap for all shops other than Broadway is 60 RC per week and 420 RC overall. That translates into $1000 (60 / 0.06) per week and $7000 (420 / 0.06) overall.

The 200/1400 cap includes spending in Broadway and Mannings. Sorry for the confusion.

HSBC released welcome promo for 12 Jan-30 Apr 15, but the reward is either headphones or 5x$100 sports vouchers and does not include a RewardCash (i.e. miles) option as in the past.

Nor does it apply to Visa Signature for those of us keen to earn the additional 3X (total 9X) Rewards of Your Choice.

Incywincy - I'm wrong, FTalkBen's right. I keep forgetting TS is no longer designated merchant (was in preivous promos).

Then again I'm just doing $2,500 x 7 weeks of Mannings.

Second month, I assumed autopay should have been set up by now and I relied on them like is usually fine with all other new credit cards I have ever gotten. Turns out it wasn't (or wasn't going to be) set up.

As a result, late charge, finance charge, major waste of my time to go back to the branch and raise this, call CS to have it reversed etc. But not only that: miles for that entire month's statement didn't post! Meanwhile autopay has been set up and current month's miles posted and I thought those from the month prior would post now, too, since the payment was settled right after I found out about the mess (by cheque, again; what a drag). They didn't.

Called and inquired about it. "If your payment is late any month, you won't get miles for the whole month's statement amount. In fact, do it twice in one year and you won't receive any miles all year on that card." When I said the payment was "late" because they messed it up and it was their fault, thus I should have the miles, they said they will get back to me next week to see what they can do for me. Let's see...
They just called and confirmed BA will credit the missing to me manually in 2-3 weeks. Kudos to Dah Sing for at least making up for it!

preferably with no or very low foreign transactions fees.

there are some fees that i can pay for my company with my credit card winch will be paid in USD and JPY and are equal to 3-5 Mio HKD / year.

thanks

Fubon caps points at 3/4th of your credit limit per month and HSBC caps at $180k.

It's hard to think of any - DBS Black MC $4/mile perhaps? But even DBS may close your account if you want to pump 3-5M through it http://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/fo...ow.php?id=5307

The best HKD cards can only do 1% foreign currency conversion fee (and minimal rewards like 0.4% in supermarket coupon). With so much spend, it might be worthwhile either T/Ting the money over to the merchant and/or setting up a local account and paying from there - have you considered?

HSBC and BoC used to offer USD cards but they are not open to new applications.

Prestige gets you $4/miles plus bonus base on years of relationship with Citi, which should be the best no cap card.

Alternative is Dahsing BA card, depending if you like AVIOS, $4/avios, no cap as well.

Shouldn't be a problem for 1-2 million /year, at least, for Prestige and BA card.

For JPY spending, definitely Fubon, (Cap at 20k per month, 2 months max in a year, registration needed) for 1.5/miles.

$4/miles should be good enough to cover the 1.95% forex fee.

This is capped at 3/4 of credit limit (maximum bonus points earned per month is 3 times credit limit, on a 4X earn you're limited to 3/4 of credit limit in spend).

To cover 5M spend you need about 0.42M limit...I don't think Fubon will grant that.

It depends if you are after bonus points/miles.

If not (and you are only trying to minimise the total expenditure), I thought Public Bank has the lowest fees??? Can someone confirm???
