not surprised, very strong VFR demand on TIA especially in summer, relatively relaxed entry requirements I believe too

Wish they'd just cancel it already -- seems highly unlikely that they'll operate 2x daily to SFO in August and if they wait much longer all the other possible connecting flights will be full (I'm on the 15th).

My mid August BA209 LHR - MIA on the A380 just got canned. No shock there.

Offered downgrade to CW on the same BA209 but an easy change to the AA service in First Class on the same day as my other half prefers the AA First to BA!!! Go figure.

SFO in mid August just lost the A380 for a 773 (77G.)

As has already been stated, not a surprise!

Equally unsurprisingly, the daily A380 rotation to JNB is in the process of being cancelled (BA55/BA56).

I'm waiting to see the news of real interest, though: how many passenger flights a week BA will actually plan to operate. I find it hard to believe that there will be a daily BA57/BA54.

Next step will be to consolidate from 773 + 789 to just 773 operating as BA287 as they have done for later in July.

In least surprising news of the day, SJC (SAN Jose - California) has been pushed back till at least 31st August.

For reference, it was scheduled to restart on 3rd August.

BA have just zeroed out availability of their BA52/53 (LHR-SEA) flights for the entire August. Guess this is a sure sign it's gonna be cancelled first thing tomorrow morning.

Quite agree and feel the same about my usual route - MIA.
BA still have a 2 x daily 77W (207) and now A350 (209) scheduled for August.
I can’t think for a minute that these 2 rotations will stick, with the daily AA 77W plying the route too.

One of the reasons why I bagged the AA seats in F rather than BA207, which I reckon will get canned in due course.

BA15 cancelled on 9th Aug and bumped to BA11 the next day. Not surprising and likelihood of going to SIN is pretty remote now anyway.

Looks like my dxb flight in August so no longer for sale, but I’ve not had a cancellation and it’s still in my booking section with seats held etc. Any thoughts kn what this means ?

It seems DXB now restarting 9 August - but only one per day (BA105).through to end of August. I wouldn't put money on it happening.

LHR-SAN zeroed out through August 29th. Expecting a cancellation email soon for our flight on Aug 14th. We proactively booked FRA-DFW-SAN so all is good (originally booked DUS-LHR-SAN).
