Yes, easiest is use the transit T5A to T5B, then walk back to T5A via the tunnel.

Sorry, should've re-phrased: is the transit still open right now? thanks

yes, so you can use it to go to T5B/C. But if you want to get from T5B/C back to T5A and remain in the departures stream (so not end up at immigration) you need to take the walkways back.

Good to know. As our renewal CCR cards haven't turned up yet ( June TP collection). We will fly august 2nd (5 months since we stepped on a plane) so I better get requesting the cards.

I must see this CCT thingy before it goes. I'm very optimistic about air travel, unlike most.

However, I agree that the frosting would imply the CCT is here for some months........

Really? Has it changed recently? I don't remember it being that way (mind you, I mostly used it as a staffer with an airside pass so that might be warping my memory)

It hasn’t changed. Otherwise anyone from anywhere could skip security and get into the departures area.

Worry not, we are all probably a little out of touch with this flying malarky, self included when CCT was open but the First Wing was not (do I have to walk past all these shops????). However, there is a photographic guide to using the passageways in the BA Forum Dashboard, personally I'd walk both directions to T5B, it's only about the length of three B777-300s........

The other notable store missing is M&S in Arrivals. Real nuisance that, ditto T2. The M&S in Brands Hill BP petrol station in Colnbrook is open though.

The World Duty Free after customs before arrivals exit is also closed. Was planning on a small stock up today on the way home but to no avail.
