Slow meal service wouldn’t be a bad thing on a long day flight, especially westbound, however going East on a late departure would be frustrating (thinking SIN / KUL)

it's just a bit random. it's got a strange shape (not sure if it's meant to follow the seat or your body shape) and only sort of covers half of it. it looks like an oversized children's napkin (one of those they tie around children's necks). so imagine a half-size towel on your seat that's meant to act as a mattress......

OK fair point, that does sound a bit odd.

My two cents - the mattress pad definitely helps. I found it substantial enough to even out some cracks and add a bit of comfort. The pillow are probably up at the top for best in biz, as are the duvets.

The new meal service in my experience has just been incredibly slow. Like... I can't get through a meal on a late flight going west, or a short flight going east slow. Food is markedly better in app and dessert department but crews I've experienced just haven't figured out the flow yet. One day - maybe?

It appears that the JFK CW pre-flight dining budget has taken the hit to find the onboard improvements. Even though I have called it school dinners before, it filled the purpose. However, grilled cheese sandwich? No thanks!

If the grilled cheese is done well, give me this every time. Utterly divine if done right.

It wasn't. Presented in a tray swimming in grease.

I can see a fun new quiz game here (just in time for Christmas ), based loosely - I do mean loosely - on the principles of sequence and arithmetical / geometrical progression ; but modified for the BA longhaul network.

(Study this series of destinations, and then say what comes next ......)

Guess the service hasn’t made it to the JFK-LGW service yet?

No it has not, unfortunately.

All I can add to recent posts is that the training of crew members in this new product is gathering pace. Rollout may be painfully slow (and the risk - as with BoB and FLY - that training is detached too far in time from using it for real) but BA is getting the crews ready for it.
