What a prat. He must have really wanted that upgrade.
Thanks, lavajava. I won't be posting much I think but that one caused the proverbial "bee in bonnet". As you say "what a prat". Part of me hopes he reads FT and is crawling under a rock now but he is probably in the minority who know no shame.

Ladyfliestheredwhiteandblues welcome to FlyerTalk and especially to the British Airways forum. What a very maddening first post. Sadly there are some very unpleasant people around and I hope this episode did not spoil your trip.

I know you say you won't be posting much, and that of course is your prerogative, but please do stay around - it can be fun here and hopefully you'll be moved to contribute again. Welcome ^

Yes, if you think you're outraged now just wait until you're ten pages into a thread about someone having the gall to take a child into First Class...

She fails to understand that BA didn't remove anything - the TA forgot to add it. She or her PA's should have done this ahead of time once the booking was made. It could also have been done at checkin unless she was running late as usual and had to race to the gate.

Lowly paid contractor who doesn't give a rats? Whilst you can't do name changes once ticketed you can change titles and gender in Altea so a 'Ms' can be changed to a 'Dame' plus the BA ffn enterered and a boarding pass reprinted to reflect those changes and appease the pax.

The flunkeys obviously don't know how to use 'manage my booking' and add any frequent flyer numbers into the pnr that the TA or third party who made the booking had forgot to enter.

Not from HAM, you wouldn't. We'd have likely both been in one of the little leper booths judging by your handle!

If there was no BAEC number on the booking then wouldn't it list the class of travel where the "BA/...." is?

If you book when not signed into BAEC then you do have to select your title, no? So someone else could have messed that up, as you say.

I don't think Drama Queen is amongst the titles offered.

At least

But i'm not sure why so many here are being so horrible about her. She plays her camp, larger than life role rather well.

I saw Joan Collins and her husband in the CCR, about three years ago. Escorted in and out by SS.

BA Silver bag tags on their bags, though.

Probably still enough travel for LT gold though. With a sixty-year career, assuming that they gave her an Exec Club card out of courtesy as a prem, she could fail to make gold every single year and still get a LT card.

I don't think BAEC existed until 1982
