I'm on the 112 on Wednesday 6 January and up until last week I had the 70J seat map. The good news is the seat map is now showing the 74S so looks like there have been some schedule changes recently - it may have changed for you too? (Assuming you're flying on a different Wednesday to me).

Check my 115 LHR-JFK for the 6th of Jan, same stupid 52J 74J (In F so WT+ right behind)
Check my 112 JFK-LHR for the 13th of Jan and it had changed to the 86J 74S^^^
Thanks for giving me the heads up, turns out My Flights app doesn't tell you if the seat map changes.

More annoying is 62 and 64 don't have 2 seats together free so am currently in row 63, Other option would be row 60. looks to be a lot of single travelers with reserved seats on the upper deck the day I fly.
Downstairs looks to have >50 seats not yet reserved

I am sure it will be… I am looking forward to it, just a little apprehensive. The other aircraft on the trip is not a popular one in CW, so I am pretty much guaranteed my usual position…

B747 IFE - will they last ?
just flew on G-BNLN (which was converted to mid-J in October) ... and was surprised by the ancient in flight entertainment system in J (not sure if Y had a more modern system). Apart from the poor quality screen / user-interface / selection ... it also failed during the safety briefing, so they had to do it "manually" (which was actually quite fun).
But seriously, will the ancient IFE system last another 3 years (until its expected retirement) ??

The next two aircraft to be converted (G-CIVW and G-BYGE) were planned to re-enter service this week. If they do so as planned, then the size of the sub-fleet will double in an instant.
